We have reached the business end of the 2018/19 season and by now, we tend to know how every team has fared this season. In this slideshow, we are going to talk about one of the most followed clubs in the world, Manchester United.

Their new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has many problems to sort out and the right-back position is one of them. United's current captain Ashley Young was the first choice right-back this season and it is safe to say that he didn't have a great time.

With age on the wrong side of Young, this might be the last season we see him as United's first choice. Also, the signing from last summer, Diogo Dalot did show some flashes of brilliance but he is far from a finished product. United need a new right-back and not a young one. They need somebody who can fix that spot right away.

So, in this slideshow, we take a look at the three right-backs that the Red Devils should look to sign in the transfer market:

#3 Matt Doherty

Matt Doherty currently plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League. Wolves had a great season as they returned to the Premier League in style and one of the best players for them this season was Doherty.

The Irish international was sensational for Wolves all season and he is someone United could target in the summer. Doherty is an attack-minded full-back who has a knack of finding himself in goalscoring positions. The 27-year-old is brilliant in the air and he is also very versatile.

He is suited to play in a back three as a right-wing back. Doherty wouldn't cost United much and he could very well turn out to be a bargain signing. The 27-year-old is very experienced and is at the peak of his powers. So, he can be a good option for United.

#2 Thomas Meunier

Thomas Meunier currently represents Paris Saint-Germain in the Ligue 1. He has been consistently playing well for the French champions and this season also, he has put in a steady display.

Meunier could be an option for Solskjaer to look at as the Belgian is very experienced at the top level and he has all the traits to succeed at United. For a right-back, Meunier has shown tremendous calmness on the ball and his crossing is something Manchester United dearly need.

The 28-year-old has also stated that he would love to play for United once and he wouldn't cost much either. Thomas Tuchel has preferred Thilo Kehrer more than Meunier and that has left the Belgian with less game time than he hoped for. So, PSG wouldn't mind selling the Belgian for a cut price

Meunier is an experienced player who is currently at the top of his game and he would a good signing if United do go for him.

#1 Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Manchester United have been linked with Aaron Wan-Bissaka the most from this list. The 21-year-old plays for Crystal Palace in the Premier League and he has had a brilliant season.

United have needed a young and ready-made right-back for some time now and they don't need another prodigy, they need someone who is experienced at the Premier League level and who can be a quick fix at the right side.

So, Wan-Bissaka is a perfect option to go for as the Englishman is already one of the best full-backs in the Premier League. He is one of those rare full-backs who loves to defend and he can instantly fix that right-hand side of the pitch.

The defender could also be Manchester United's long term solution. Wan-Bissaka has attracted attention from all over Europe and he won't come cheaply for United but any money paid for him would be totally worth it.
