The new football season has begun in fantastic fashion. It has brought plenty of excitement, shocks, surprises, pains and suspense to keep us glued to our TV screens. Our favorite clubs continue to entertain us with eye-catching performances as they battle it out across Europe's top 5 leagues.

Victory and defeat remain part and parcel of the game. Many teams have put their opponents to the sword, and a few have also had their backs laid to the ground. As a matter of fact, it is difficult to find any club across Europe's elite divisions that has not found itself at both ends of the coin.

But there are a few teams from the top 5 divisions on the continent that are yet to taste defeat on the domestic front. Here's a look at those four clubs:

#4 Wolfsburg

It's been a surprising run for VFL Wolfsburg this season as they have defied the odds with their exploits in the Bundesliga. Following an average outing last season where they finished sixth on the table, Woflsburg have returned to the German top flight with a lot of determination this term.

They are one of the four clubs across Europe's top five leagues at the moment who are yet to taste defeat. Wolfsburg kicked off their season with a 2-1 victory against FC Köln. Since then, they've been getting stronger and stronger.

Wolfsburg currently sit at the second position on the Bundesliga table with 15 points, after recording 4 victories and 3 draws in their 7 games. Whether they'd be able to maintain that run remains to be seen, but they deserve praise for starting the season in such a resounding manner.

#3 Real Madrid

Real Madrid endured a disappointing outing across all competitions last season. Los Blancos struggled to impress under the management of both Julen Lopetegui and Santiago Solari, and even Zinedine Zidane's return couldn't save them from ending the campaign on an embarrassing note.

The Spanish giants responded by doing some decent business in the transfer market this summer. They spent over €300 million to lure the likes of Eden Hazard, Eder Militao, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy and Takefusa Kubo to the Santiago Bernabeu. While their investment is yet to produce desired results in the Champions League, their situation in the LaLiga at the moment offers a bit of relief.

Los Blancos currently sit at the top of the league table with 18 points from 8 games so far this season. Their record of 5 victories and 3 draws from 8 matches ranks them among the very few sides who are yet to taste defeat across Europe's top five leagues at the moment.

#2 Juventus

Serie A giants Juventus showed everyone they mean serious business during the summer when they replaced their ex-manager, Massimiliano Allegri with fellow Italian tactician, Maurizio Sarri. While their primary objective this season is to win the Champions League, their exploits at the domestic level so far this term deserve some attention too.

Despite the intensity and the level of competition present in the Serie A at the moment, the Bianconeri have held their own and ensured a brilliant start to the campaign. Following their recent 2-1 victory over Inter Milan, the defending champions now sit atop the table with 19 points.

Sarri's men have won 6 and drawn one of their 7 games in the Italian top flight this season. They've also scored 13 goals and conceded just 6.

#1 Liverpool

Liverpool narrowly lost the Premier League title to Manchester City in very painful fashion last season. However, The Reds have shown no signs of slowing down as they continue their chase for the prestigious crown this term.

Jurgen Klopp's men look ruthless and unstoppable in the English top flight. They've won all their eight games in the division so far, scoring a whopping 20 goals and conceding just 6 in the process. They now occupy the top position on the table with 24 points - 8 above City, who come second with 16.

The Reds appear set to make history in the EPL this term. Given their impressive level and the massive advantage they hold right now, this could be the season when the coveted crown is finally paraded in Merseyside.
