Great managers shape dynasties in world football. They mark an era of good fortune their respective clubs and gift the audience with joy. Great managers build teams or reshapes one and bring their clubs eternal glory. They are the silent architects of success and are the ones who have their names in history books.

Over the years, Juventus F.C. had seen ups and downs since it's creation. They are the #1 club in Italy in the past decade without a shadow of doubt although they were haunted by conspiracies and scandals the decade before.

Nonetheless, Juventus are a top side when we speak about Italy and even, Europe. They have won lots of trophies and the 'Old lady' or Bianconeri are expected to win almost every time they are on the pitch.

Like every great football club, esteemed coaches or managers shaped their history, too. Without further ado, we take a look at the 4 greatest Juventus managers of all time.

#4. Antonio Conte ( 2011-14) :

Antonio Conte will be remembered as one of the coaches who gave his all for Juventus.
Antonio Conte will be remembered as one of the coaches who gave his all for Juventus.

As a former player of the club, Antonio Conte arrived at Juventus with high expectations. He was a huge fan favourite due to his days spent as a midfielder featuring for the Juventus side. He led Juventus on the pitch under Marcello Lippi and won the fan's hearts with his tenacity, hard work and leadership as a player.

He returned to coach Juventus and replaced former coach, Luigi Delneri in 2011. And despite all the hype and huge expectations surrounding him, Conte kept his head on the ground and didn't disappoint.

On his arrival, Conte quickly stamped his authority and reached numerous landmarks in the first season with the club as he equalled Fabio Capello's 28 game unbeaten streak with the club. Juventus went on to win the Seria A unbeaten in 2011-12 showing the dominating strength of the team under Conte.

Conte managed to reach the Copa Italia final after Lippi and completed a league double over Inter after Fabio Capello in his stint with Juventus. Juventus also managed to win three successive league titles after a long time. But what was truly amazing is how quickly he changed the look of the side and propelled them to greatness.

He used an innovative 3-5-2 as a formation with multiple box to box midfielders and wing backs who will push rival defenders at times. Conte also managed to get the best out of young players like Paul Pogba, who played a pivotal role in Juventus's success under him.

While Antonio Conte's only failure seems to be their repeated failures in Europe, Juventus were almost unbeatable at times in the Seria A. He must be credited for a superb turnaround, molding a team and helping them into a formidable position in the following years.

Massimiliano Allegri is still the man leading Juventus into glory

#3. Massimiliano Allegri (2014 - present) :

After proving his worth with Milan, Allegri's arrival in Turin garnered mixed response from fans. When it comes to building teams, Allegri's arrival did not please everyone. But looking at the past few seasons, he shut his critics up by winning. After all, the primary focus of a professional manager is to win, not to please.

Inheriting an already powerful squad from his predecessor- Antonio Conte, Allegri took his time to mold the team to master his tactics and methods. But the massive success and landmarks which followed really shows why he earned his name on the list.

Allegri took Juventus to unprecedented success in Italy as he led his side to three successive domestic doubles, a feat which will rarely be matched in the future. The master tactician helped Juventus towards more European glory but unfortunately lost two UEFA Champions League finals to Barcelona and Real Madrid in these past few seasons.

Massimiliano Allegri is still a massive part of the current Juventus squad and with the arrival of a player like Cristiano Ronaldo, they are enjoying their best start in history. There is no doubt whatever happens Allegri will be remembered forever by the club and the fans due to his crucial impact.

Trapattoni is one of the best managers of not just Juventus but of all time.
Trapattoni is one of the best managers of not just Juventus but of all time.

#2. Giovanni Trapattoni( 1976-86, 1991-94):

Widely regarded as one of the best managers of all time, Giovanni Trapattoni is also one of the most decorated and celebrated managers at the heart of Turin. Under his guidance, the 'Old Lady' managed to climb unprecedented heights of success.

The amazing thing about Giovanni Trapattoni's love affair with Juventus is that he managed the club not once, but twice- while he managed Juventus for a decade in his first stint. And he marked his greatness by winning every trophy there was at that time.

Trapattoni won six league titles, two Coppa Italia titles and went on to win all the European trophies at that time. Juventus won UEFA cup in 1977, the Cup Winners' cup in 1984, Intercontinental cup the following summer while the team's first European Cup came in 1985 against Liverpool.

Trapattoni came back in 1991 and won the UEFA cup once again. Despite his defensive tactics, Trapattoni was hugely successful in Italy, with another European Cup Final appearance with Juventus just another one of his notable achievements.

It's not surprising that he is a fan favourite and there are very few critics due to his excellent managerial ability. He led Juventus to new heights which was not previously shown by any other manager which stamps his greatness in the club's history.

Marcello Lippi is one of the greatest managers of all time.
Marcello Lippi is one of the greatest managers of all time.

#1. Marcello Lippi ( 1994-99, 2001-04) :

Marcello Lippi is probably the one manager in history who won everything there is in football. For a man who has a World Cup, Champions League and numerous league titles in his CV, he is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches of all time.

His most remarkable stint came with Juventus where he managed to revitalize 'Old Lady' and propel them towards greatness once again. He took charge after Trapattoni's second stint with Juventus ended and Juventus embarked a new era of success, legends and fame under his guidance.

Known for his winning mentality, Lippi used to instill the mentality of champions into his players. He won four Seria A titles and led Juventus to three successive Champions League Final appearance but unfortunately, won just one of them.

What was truly amazing about Lippi is he was a man who believed in constant evolution with the game. During his stint with Juventus, Italy was divided between the contrasting styles and tactics of two other revolutionaries, Sacchi and Rocco.

Marcello Lippi managed to adjust his formation and tactics according to his teams. He managed some great players with Juventus. The likes of Zinedine Zidane, Baggio, Ravanelli, Del Piero and Antonio Conte- being only few of that great batch.

It seems even after being far from the limelight, 'Little Lippis' such as Zidane and Conte are still following their 'master' in their coaching career and they have been highly successful, too. His eternal guidance, knowledge and winning mentality is still being spread by his students.
