As the season approaches an end, preparations and plannings for the summer transfer window are on for all clubs across Europe. For Real Madrid, bringing world class reinforcements will a priority this summer as the current season is a tremendous failure. They will not be winning any major silverwares at the end of the 2018/19 campaign, which is not acceptable at all considering their sky high standards.

If reports are to be believed, the Spanish giants are planning a major overhaul with a huge transfer budget. Los Blancos are already busy planning their moves to restore their dominance in Spain and in Europe. Evidently, the current squad needs reinforcements and it would be wise for the board to spend it on right players who would strengthen the team.

It is crystal clear that Madrid failed to recover from the departure of their greatest goalscorer Cristiano Ronaldo. Mariano Diaz was never the answer and poor performance from starlets like Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and others did not help the case. Moreover, most of their stars are on the wrong side of the 30s.

Without further ado, let us look at four players who will fit well with Real Madrid's style of play and make the club unstoppable in the next season.

#4 Kalidou Koulibaly

Blessed with excellent defensive abilities, Koulibaly is one of the standout players in the Serie A this season and certainly, one of the best in Napoli. The 27-year-old has shown all the hallmarks of a complete defender and remains a leader in Napoli's rearguard. Moreover, Koulibaly is calm and composed which makes him an asset for any team.

On the other hand, Real Madrid has the second worst defense among the top five teams in the league as they conceded 39 goals in 35 games so far in the campaign. There have been rumours surrounding Raphael Varane despite Zinedine Zidane claiming that he would stay. Moreover, new signing Eder Militao is yet to prove himself at the biggest stages.

It makes perfect sense for Madrid to increase the defensive depth of the squad. The Napoli star is one of the best in his position and continues to deliver powerful performances at the heart of club's defense. But Napoli's asking price might prove to be a huge obstacle in the transfer.

#3 Luka Jovic

The 21-year-old Serbian striker is the one of the most wanted talents across Europe. And why not? Jovic is enjoying meteoric rise to the fame due to his constant exploits in front of goal. Jovic has racked up 17 goals in the Bundesliga which makes him the third highest scorer in the league, behind only Robert Lewandowski and Paco Alcacer.

The Serbian striker has also played a crucial role for Frankfurt who are enjoying a stellar Europa League campaign. Jovic has netted 9 goals in the Europa League and consistently proved his caliber against toughest of opponents in the big stages for Frankfurt.

Jovic was on loan from Benfica but Frankfurt finalized a permanent move for him recently. The Bundesliga ace has a natural eye for goal and his composure on the ball is a bonus. There is no doubt that the youngster will be an asset in the future if fulfills his potential.

Meanwhile, Karim Benzema had a stellar campaign with Real Madrid as he netted 30 goals in all competitions so far. But besides him, there is lack of quality in the forward line as others failed to step up after the departure of Ronaldo. Los Blancos are already leading the chase for Jovic and a striker of his caliber will be a major boost to the squad.

#2 Paul Pogba

One of the best midfielders in the Premier League, Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba endured a inconsistent campaign. Yet the French midfielder racked up 16 goals and 11 assists in all competitions and kept the Red Devils in the race for a top four spot.

The 26-year-old needs no introduction as he has already proven his caliber time and again at the biggest stages. He was one of the key players for France in their World Cup winning campaign last summer and remains a major asset for Manchester United.

Pogba is box to box and has vast abilities under his belt. Blessed with excellent shielding capabilities, Pogba can change the pace of the game at his best. He can push forward, hold on to the ball and help out in defense when needed.

With Luka Modric looking past his prime and the likes of Isco and Ceballos not living up to their expectations, Real Madrid should consider signing Pogba. Zinedine Zidane is an admirer of Pogba but again, the player's huge transfer fee and wages will be a major obstacle.

#1 Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard is one of the best players in the Premier League. The Belgian attacker was one of the best players in the World Cup too and there is no doubt that Hazard has helped Chelsea into the race for top four spot in the Premier League. The Chelsea star has been directly involved in 29 goals (16 goals, 13 assists) in the league so far, more than anyone else from his club.

Hazard is a world class attacker and probably, the most complete forward after Lionel Messi currently. He can torment opponent's rearguard with his dribbles and skills, but what sets him apart is his ability to create space at will and find his teammates with pinpoint passes.

Hazard will be entering his final year of his contract with Chelsea after this season and it is an open secret that Los Blancos are in pursuit of the player. Hazard never hid his admiration for Real Madrid and can easily settle into the club. With Benzema beside him and the likes of Kroos, Modric and Isco behind, Hazard can bring back the golden era at the Santiago Bernabeu.
