#5 Pig's head thrown at Luis Figo

The 2000 Ballon d'Or winner, Figo was one of the most controversial players in terms of shifting clubs between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Often considered as one of the greatest Portuguese players of all time, Barcelona fans considered this move as a 'sin', as Figo moved to rivals Real Madrid in 2005 at the beginning of the Florentino Perez era.

The €62 million transfer fee made him the most expensive player at that point in time.

However, it looked like the Barcelona fans didn't quite 'forgive' the attacking midfielder, during Figo's first trip to Camp Nou in the 2000/01 season, he went on to take a corner for Los Blancos, but Camp Nou wasn't too happy about this, as an array of objects such as plastic bottles, beer cups, and even a pig's head was thrown at the Real Madrid number 10. That is right, a real pig's head.

Arguably one of the greatest performances under Pep Guardiola at home turf, in 2010 Barcelona delivered an unbelievable display of what the Spanish manager is capable of. The highly controversial match was not only considered as being one of the worst Clasico performances by Real Madrid but also under Jose Mourinho.

Goals from the likes of Xavi, Pedro, David Villa, and Jeffren Suarez lighted up the Camp Nou in a manner that we could never forget. The Madrid players looked so frustrated that they ended up committing some of the nastiest fouls the sport has ever seen, a prowess that earned Sergio Ramos a red card in this very match.

With a possession stat of 60% & 40% in favour of Blaugrana, it was one of the most memorable nights in the history of Clasicos, and probably a night that Real Madrid players would love to forget.

Although, Real Madrid ended up lifting the La Liga title by the end of the 2016/17 season, this particular fixture something that the Madrid fans will never forget. Barcelona's Argentine legend ended up scoring from an unbelievable strike, that earned them the much-awaited away victory over Los Blancos, also earning him his 500th Barcelona goal as a Barcelona player. Though, his celebration sparked a lot of controversies all across the capital.

After his brilliant strike, Messi took his shirt off, lifted it towards the Madridistas with his name and number facing them, a stint that also earned him a yellow card. Many said that it was a response to the continuous comments that were given to the Barcelona number 10, however, it isn't clear as to why he did it. Perhaps, Messi did earn his 500th goal in a fashionable manner! Real Madrid fans, on the other hand, were highly furious with this incident.

In 2005, an unthinkable incident took place, as Barcelona delivered another spectacular performance in the history of the El Clasico. Ronaldinho back then was the best in the world and his performances for Barcelona were extremely unparallel. The rivalry between the two clubs is so intense that they cannot appreciate each other in any circumstances, however, a 'dream' moment really took place in this very year.

Ronaldinho scored 2 goals from Barcelona's 3-0 victory over Los Blancos, and his performance was so good, that everyone from the onfield Madrid players to the Madrid bench to the Santiago Bernabeu fans gave a standing ovation to the likeable Brazilian legend for his remarkable display of world-class football.

It was surely one of those moments when Barcelona and Madrid fans actually forgot their rivalry and found common ground by cheering for the one thing that united them - top quality football.

#1 Embarrassing Guard of Honour

Barcelona was forced to form a guard of honour in order to welcome the Real Madrid players, who were celebrating their title victory as an end of the season clash. The Blaugrana aligned themselves in a perfect manner as Real Madrid entered the pitch with no remorse. Bernd Schuster's side was performing an extremely unparallel manner, as the season closed with one of the most one-sided league performances delivered by the Los Blancos.

However, it was only the beginning of one of the worst nights in the history of Barcelona, as they were completely thrashed after the 4-1 defeat at the end of the season. With little to no possession, Barcelona was able to score just one goal. They did, however, return in the very next season completely demolishing the Real Madrid side and winning multiple accolades for their club. The guard of honour is yet again something that the Barcelona fans will never forget.
