Cristiano Ronaldo is not just your average footballer, he is a global superstar with millions of diehard fans around the world. It's not just about the goals he scores or the way he plays that makes him special, it’s also his personality.

The Portuguese forward was destined for success whether it is on the pitch or off it. With his charming looks and a body that even the ancient Greek gods would envy, Ronaldo has won millions of hearts throughout his career.

A combination of raw talent and good looks, Cristiano Ronaldo could easily pull off a lead role in any Hollywood movie. He has spent many of hours of his life in front of the camera whether it's shooting for commercials or photo shoots or even documentaries.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at few iconic Hollywood roles that Cristiano Ronaldo could have starred in.

#5 Dutch (Predator)

One of the best action movies to have ever been made, Predator starred Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead as Dutch, a veteran commando officer and the leader of a private military team who encounters an extraterrestrial killing machine in central America. It was this movie that propelled Schwarzenegger as an action superstar.

Who wouldn’t want to see Cristiano Ronaldo as an ex-military mercenary dropping bodies in the middle of the jungle while also taking on an interplanetary hunter? Ronaldo is definitely macho enough to pull off those legendary one-liners from the movie.

#4 John McClane (Die Hard)

When it comes to being a bad ass, there is no better character in cinema history than John McClane, played by Bruce Willis from the Die Hard movies. The action movie franchise which began in the '90s is one of Hollywood’s prime examples of how to make a really good action movie.

Playing a street-smart detective from New York City is definitely the role that Ronaldo would fit into having grown up in the tough streets of Funchal, Portugal.

John McClane and Ronaldo also have similar characteristics like their never say die attitude and the will to achieve. The Portuguese superstar taking on a bunch of terrorists on Christmas eve is what every Ronaldo fan would be craving for on a holiday weekend at the cinemas.

#3 Frank Dux (Bloodsport)

When it comes to mixed martial arts cinema there’s nothing quite like a Jean Claude Van Damme movies from the '80s. Although Van Damme isn’t exactly remembered for his acting, he did make for it with his kickass martial arts skills beating up every bad guy he came across on the big screen.

Bloodsport is one of Van Damme’s most memorable movies and has a cult following among movie buffs. He played the role of Frank Dux an American martial artist who travels to Hong Kong to take part in a legendary fighting tournament known as the ‘Kumite’.

Cristiano Ronaldo bringing out his inner Kung Fu on the big screen would be a sight to behold. Imagine a Ronaldo vs Chong Li climax action scene with ‘Fight to survive’ running in the background. “Go for the gut” anyone?

#2 Tony Montana (Scarface)

Given the popularity Netflix tv series Narcos has gained in recent months, it makes total sense to see Cristiano Ronaldo play Cuban refugee and American drug lord Tony Montana from Scarface. Although Montana’s role in the movie portrayed him narcotic kingpin, he was, in fact, the protagonist in the movie.

Tony Montana came to America from Cuba in search of the American dream similar to how Ronaldo came all the way from Portugal to England to live his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

Leaving aside the drugs and the murder, Ronaldo would be a perfect a fit for the role of Tony Montana. From his south American looks to his accent it perfectly blends for the Portuguese star. And do we need to say anything about the similarity in swag Ronaldo and Al Pacino have?

#1 The Terminator T-800 (Terminator 2 - Judgement Day)

Perhaps the greatest action movie ever made, it is hard not to imagine Cristiano Ronaldo play the bad ass cyber bot from the future. With minimal dialogue and maximum action, Ronaldo could walk into the shoes of Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Cristiano Ronaldo would be seamless as a time travelling robot sent from the future to save the world especially wearing leather from the neck down while riding a Harley on the streets of Los Angeles.

In fact, maybe Ronaldo could have pulled off the “I will be back” line better than Schwarzenegger? But one thing is for sure, he would definitely be ‘bad to the bone’ as the Terminator.
