FPL (Fantasy Premier League) is back for the 2020-21 season. After less than three weeks of the previous season finishing, the new FPL game has already been launched in anticipation of the 2020-21 Premier League, which starts on the 12th of September.

The FPL has already launched the game for the new Premier League season and have announced all player prices in the game. However, the fixtures for the new season have not yet been released by the Premier League and are yet to be incorporated into the game.

Prices of players normally depend on their performances in the previous season and the player's impact on their teams' performances. While most players' prices accurately represent their value in the game, there are some who are underpriced and could offer some value for your FPL teams.

These hidden gems could be essential for you to climb up your mini-leagues. On that note, here are the five most underpriced players in FPL 2020-21:

Five underpriced FPL players in 2020-21:

#5: Nicholas Pepe (Midfielder): £8 million

Nicholas Pepe could be one of the key men for Arteta next season.

Nicholas Pepe has had a £1.5 million price drop compared to his starting price of £9.5 million last season.

At £8 million, the midfielder comes in as a cheaper option than the likes of Alexandre Lacazette who has been valued at £8.5 million and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who is at £12 million.

Pepe could offer great value at that price, especially if Arsenal continue to play with their 3-4-3 formation where Lacazette drops deep, and Pepe and Aubameyang act as the two inside forwards.

The midfielder finished with five goals and six assists last season; in FPL, however, he did take some time to adapt to the league. In his second season in England, Pepe will be better suited to show why Arsenal paid their record transfer fee for him in 2019 and recreate the form he managed at Lille in the 2018-19 season.

#4: Phil Foden (Midfielder): £6.5 million

Phil Foden could go on to be the new David Silva for Manchester City in the heart of the club's midfield.
Phil Foden could go on to be the new David Silva for Manchester City in the heart of the club's midfield.

Phil Foden has been priced at £6.5 million for the new season, and he could be a real bargain if he gets a consistent run in the team.

Foden is £2 million cheaper than Riyad Mahrez and £5 million cheaper than both Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne. There is an argument that can be made that he can match Sterling and De Bruyne for points if he gets similar game-time as them.

With David Silva gone, Foden could become a first-team starter for Manchester City in their midfield and could be a great option for FPL sides.

Foden was excellent in the restart as he scored five goals for Manchester City. FPL managers will hope that he continues that form in the next season as well.

The Englishman can be played in the right or left-wing slot as he has done many times last season. That would mean he is closer to goal and more likely to get goals and assists.

#3: Ruben Vinagre (Defender): £4.5 million

Ruben Vinagre could be the starting left wing-back for Wolves next season due to an injury to Jonny.
Ruben Vinagre could be the starting left wing-back for Wolves next season due to an injury to Jonny.

Wolves were one of the best defensive teams in the 2019-20 Premier League as was evident in their tally of 13 clean sheets. They were the fourth-best defence in the league with an 'expected goals against' of 37.39.

Having one of Wolves' defenders is a must-have in one's FPL team, given their defensive stability and attacking potential. With Wolves' first-choice left wing-back option Jonny out with an anterior cruciate ligament injury, the £4.5 million defender Ruben Vinagre take up that position next season.

Vinagre offers great value and is a whole £1.5 million cheaper than Matt Doherty at right wing-back. Along with Wolves' defensive solidity, Vinagre also offers attacking threat down the left-wing and could be one of the players to watch out for next season.

#2: Christian Pulisic (Midfielder): £8.5 million

Christian Pulisic can go on to become the new Eden Hazard for Chelsea.
Christian Pulisic can go on to become the new Eden Hazard for Chelsea.

Christian Pulisic will be injured for the start of the 2020-21 Premier League season due to the injury he suffered in Chelsea's FA Cup final defeat against Arsenal.

However, he is set to be a key figure for Chelsea in his second season in the competition. Pulisic is massively underpriced in the FPL and is a bargain at only £8.5 million.

Pulisic was injured for almost half the season in 2019-20, but he managed to bag 127 points and almost got into double figures in the FPL for both assists and goals.

He is also a player who passes the eye test and looks incredibly dangerous in front of goal and is someone who always turns up in the box. Given that he is almost £1 million cheaper than Timo Werner who is not yet proven himself in the Premier League, Pulisic is a steal for FPL managers.

Pulisic has an incredibly high shot volume as well as chances created, and he is likely to be in and among the points next season.

#1: Raul Jimenez (Forward): £8.5 million

Raul Jimenez was one of the most consistent FPL players last season.
Raul Jimenez was one of the most consistent FPL players last season.

The most underpriced player in the FPL game this season is Raul Jimenez. He managed 17 goals and seven assists last season in the FPL and a stunning 37 goals and assists in all competitions last season.

Jimenez scored 194 FPL points last season, the fourth-most for any forward, and it is astonishing his price is yet only £8.5 million. Last season, he got 39 points more than Roberto Firmino who is £1 million more expensive than him. Jimenez is also 76 points more than Lacazette who is at the same price as the Mexican.

Raul Jimenez seemed to be performing in line with his 'expected goals' as he managed an xG of 16.51 and an xA of 7.23, which indicates that he is likely to continue performing at this high level. Jimenez is also on penalties and is the main focal point for the Wolves team, which is why he should be one of the first names on your FPL team at that price.
