Sadio Mane has been a revelation ever since joining Liverpool from Southampton in 2016 for £34 million. The Senegal international has established himself as one of the best wingers in the world, with his pace, creativity, match intelligence and dribbling causing nightmares to opposition defenders.

The former Red Bull Salzburg player's impact on the Premier League champions has been such that he has been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain in the past. Given that he is 28, it would be interesting to see whether an offer comes in and if Liverpool will accept it.

If they do and Sadio Mane leaves England, here are five players who can replace him at Liverpool.

#5 DAVID NERES, AJAX

Regarded as one of the best young talents in the world, David Neres has enjoyed another good season in the Netherlands.

Neres joined Ajax from Sao Paulo for a fee of €12 million in 2017. The 23-year-old had a slow start to his Ajax career, but in four seasons, he has developed into one of their most important players.

Capable of playing on the wings but also as a striker, Neres' dribbling ability and creativity have been a real asset for Erik ten Hag's side. Having been linked with the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Manchester United, it is unlikely that the Brazil international will remain at Ajax for long.

Neres made 12 appearances in the league for Ajax last season, scoring six goals and providing one assist.

#4 JEREMIE BOGA, SASSUOLO

Another Chelsea player who managed to get away, Jeremie Boga has been one of the best wingers in Italy this season.

Having joined from Chelsea in 2018 for £3.5 million, the Ivory Coast international immediately established himself as a vital player for Sassuolo. Boga has formed a potent attack with Domenico Berardi and Francesco Caputo, with his pace and exceptional dribbling skills standing out.

The former Birmingham City player has been linked with a return back to Chelsea as well as a move to Napoli.

The 23-year-old made 34 appearances in Serie A, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. He can play on either wing and has been utilised as a wide-midfielder and a striker.

#3 MARCUS THURAM, BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH

Marco Rose's Borussia Monchengladbach are well-renowned for their attacking brand of football, and Marcus Thuram has been an everpresent part of the team.

Thuram joined Borussia Monchengladbach from French side Guingamp last summer for a fee of €12 million. He has formed a brilliant front-line with Breel Embolo and Alassane Plea for Gladbach, who- for a stretch- were at the top of the Bundesliga table last season.

The 22-year-old is a versatile forward and was utilised all across the forward line by Rose last season. In 31 Bundesliga appearances, Thuram scored ten goals and provided eight assists. He is yet to be capped by France but it seems like a matter of 'when' and not 'if'.

The former Sochaux player has been suggested as an option to Liverpool to fortify their forward options while Italian giants Juventus are also keeping an eye on the France U21 international.

#2 OUSMANE DEMBELE, BARCELONA

One player who could do with a fresh start is Ousmane Dembele. His Barcelona stint has not gone according to plan, and it makes sense for the player and the club to part ways.

Dembele joined Barcelona in controversial transfer from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of €105 million. The France international was seen as a direct replacement for the PSG-bound Neymar. His incredible talent, which included excellent creativity and dribbling skills as well as an eye for goal, meant that this transfer was criticised by very few.

However, injuries have not been kind to Dembele. The former Rennes winger has missed nearly 90 games since joining Barcelona in 2017. The Catalan giants are also said to be unhappy with the player's attitude off the pitch.

Having barely featured this season, reports suggest that Barcelona would be willing to let go of him in the summer. Manchester United, Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal have all been touted as potential destinations for the 23-year-old.

#1 KYLIAN MBAPPE, PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN

One of the best footballers in the world, Kylian Mbappe's rise has been meteoric. After a breakthrough season at Monaco, Mbappe joined Paris Saint-Germain for €180 million after a year-long loan spell with the French giants.

The France international has established himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet for both club and country. His electric pace, match intelligence and overall quality has led many critics to label him as the second-best player in the world right now, behind Lionel Messi.

The 21-year-old made 20 appearances in Ligue 1 last season, scoring 18 goals and providing five assists. Although Spanish giants Real Madrid remain the favourites for his signature, Mbappe has previously praised Liverpool, leading to rumours that the Premier League champions could make a move for him.
