Liverpool are on a roll right now and are looking unstoppable. The Reds have been on top of the Premier League table for some time now and are looking well set to win their first Premier League title.

Jurgen Klopp has done extremely well with his players and almost all his signings have proved to be brilliant. They were looking to sign a couple of more players in January but did not manage to get them.

Here are 5 players Liverpool failed to sign in January:

#5 – Luka Jovic

Liverpool are looking to sign a long-term replacement who can also serve as back up for Roberto Firmino. The Reds were linked with a move for Luka Jovic but that did not materialize.

Benfica were reluctant to recall him from his loan at Eintracht Frankfurt and thus, Liverpool were rebuffed. The striker has now reportedly agreed on terms with Chelsea and Barcelona and is waiting for Benfica to make a decision.

#4 – Joao Felix

From one Benfica youngster to another. Joao Felix is the hottest property in Europe right now and Liverpool were keen on signing him in January itself to beat a host of clubs after him.

Benfica, however, were reluctant to negotiate a deal for him and wanted any club interested in him to activate his release clause of £105m.

#3 – Adrien Rabiot

With Barcelona withdrawing their interest and PSG not willing to offer him a new deal, Adrien Rabiot is left in the middle of nowhere. The Frenchman was a target for Liverpool in January but they did not manage to get the deal done.

Rabiot is free to sign a pre-contract but Liverpool tried to sign him in January itself. PSG, however, did not listen to the offer and rebuffed the move.

#2 – Lloyd Kelly

Lloyd Kelly to Liverpool looked a done deal in December itself. He was touted to be their only 'big' signing of the January transfer window.

However, Bristol City and Liverpool reportedly did not manage to find an agreement in the fee and the move broke down.

Trabzonspor, however, were not willing to let go of their starlet and decided not to get into any negotiations for him.
