Man United have owned some of the best players in the World. From the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo to Ryan Giggs, they have had them all. The list of players is endless.

However despite Manchester United having a huge number of great players they have also had players who did so badly you can't even remember them.

Many of these players the fans have simply forgotten about.

Let's take a look at some of the players you may not know used to play for Man United.

#5 Ryan Shawcross (2006-2008)

Ryan Shawcross currently plies his trade for Championship side Stoke City. Shawcross in fact played for Man United from 2006-2008.

He was a regular in the reserves but he struggled to find game time in the first team. Shawcross only played twice for Man United and both of those appearances came from the bench. He then went on to join Stoke City on loan in 2007 with the club opting to buy him for £2 million in 2008.

#4 Jordi Cruyff (1996-2000)

The man with the iconic father-Johan Cruyff. Jordi played over 50 games for the Red Devils. He was part of the team that won the treble and yet very few remember that he actually played for the club, he has now retired and has sadly not gone down as such a big of a legend as his father did.

Danny Welbeck played for Man United between 2008 and 2014 scoring 20 goals in 92 appearances.

He moved to Arsenal after the 2014 World Cup. He has gone on to play 83 times for Arsenal scoring 16 goals.

#2 Danny Simpson

The Premier League winner at the King Power stadium used to be part of the Man United academy. However, he did not manage to make an impact as he played only 3 times for the red devils.

He now plays for Leicester City where he has made over 100 appearances and he won the Premier League in the 2015/16 season.

#1 Joshua King

Joshua King played for Man United between 2008-2010 in their academy side. However, he struggled for game time and so he moved on to play for Preston North End.

He now plays his side with Bournemouth and is a key part of the side where he has scored 33 times in 106 appearances.
