Cesc Fabregas, was recently in the news for something he did on the 31st of December 2016. It was the day on which the Spaniard gave a record-breaking assist to set-up Willian in Chelsea's 4-2 win over Stoke City.

The 2010 World Cup winner finds himself in the 2019 Guinness World Records Book for the fastest time to achieve 100 assists in the Premier League, reaching the tally in just 293 games.

Speaking to Guinness World Records, Fabregas said, “I’m not the fastest, I’m not the strongest, I’m not the most flexible, I don’t jump high. But to achieve this record in my career is one of the proudest things in my job, because it is my job and I did it well.”

But this is a record he made on the pitch. His other and the wackier of the two records came off the pitch.

In July 2017, on the Sky One owned A League of Their Own game show, the La Masia graduate entered the record books with former Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp, as the joint holder of the Most volley passes in 30 seconds by a pair with 15 successful passes.

#4 Theo Walcott - Highest altitude football dropped and controlled

Former Arsenal forward Theo Walcott has some astonishing records to his name. He remains the youngest player ever to play for England senior team (17 years, 75 days) and he is the youngest player ever to score a hat-trick for the Three Lions (19 years, 177 days).

But, those records didn't earn him a place in the Guinness World Records. His wait for a GWR entry was finally over on 1 December 2016, when he became the record holder for the highest altitude football dropped and controlled.

The England international beat his former teammates Laurent Koscielny, Nacho Monreal and Francis Coquelin with a successful attempt from an incredible height of 34 metres during an event organized by internet betting exchange firm Betfair, to feature in the 2017 edition of the best-selling copyrighted book of all time.

#3 Dele Alli - Most football volleys in one minute.

Tottenham superstar Deli Alli is known for his flashy displays on the pitch, but he also has a fancy Guinness World Record certificate hanging in his house.

The 22-year-old attempted to break the record for most football volleys in one minute alongside his French teammate Georges-Kévin N'Koudou in 2017 at their training ground in Enfield.

The objective was to score as many goals with volleys as possible making sure that the ball didn't touch the ground first. N'Koudou was the passer while Alli was to put the balls into the back of the net.

The official Guinness World Records adjudicators present at the training ground confirmed that Alli and N'Koudou had set a new world record with 20 successful volleys.

Do not get baffled by the name of the record, yes it is related to football and simply means the world record for maximum number of nutmegs performed in 30 seconds.

We can all agree that there is no better feeling than to nutmeg your opponent right in middle of the pitch. Everyone of us who has ever played football has tried it at least once, albeit we are rarely successful.

Dele Alli secured his second entry in the record books by completing most between the leg figure eights with a football in 30 seconds just by doing what he loves. To nutmeg his opponent. Just this time the opponent was his teammate Georges-Kévin N'Koudou.

It is amazing to see just how many of these world records get broken by players at their training grounds. Manchester City's No.1 Ederson joined his club in the Guinness World Records after the end of a record breaking season, in which the Sky Blues had broken three different world records.

The 24-year-old Brazilian successfully attempted to break the longest football drop kick at City's Etihad campus. With a daunting task of beating the previous record of 75 m long drop-kick, he managed to produce an remarkable 75.35 m kick.

It is rare to see any goalkeeper in the record books, with the strikers always headlining the records and stats list.

But with his incredible feat, Ederson joined Petr Cech and Asmir Begovic as the only three Premier League goalkeepers to be featured in the Guinness Book of World Records.
