Zobahan goalkeeper Mohammad Bagher Sadeghi produced a phantom kick that proved pivotal in sending his team out of the AFC Champions League on Monday night.

With the scoreline at 1-1, keeper Sadeghi attempted to clear the ball in the 54th minute, only for it to go horribly wrong. That allowed Al Ittihad to regain their lead and with Zobahan trailing 2-1 from the first leg, that meant Zobahan were down 4-2 on aggregate by then.

That effectively ended the contest and Zobahan eventually lost 4-3 on the night to crash out 6-4 on aggregate. That also meant the end of Iran's participation in the 2019 AFC Champions League.
