Anderson Ready To Fill Scholes Void

Anderson and Scholes

Manchester United‘s Brazilian midfielder Anderson believes that the team has enough quality to cope without the legendary Paul Scholes who retired at the end of last season.

The fans want to see a “marquee signing” replace Paul Scholes’ boots at United but with Sir Alex Ferguson ruling out the possibility of another buy this season, the onus is now on the existing midfielders, Carrick, Fletcher and Anderson, to step up their game.

The Brazilian prodigy hoping to step up to the mark to show Scholes can be replaced in United starting XI. Speaking to Sky Sports News, Anderson said:

“Scholes was amazing, a legend, but it means more opportunity, more space for me. Scholes was one player where I learn a lot, he was unbelievable and for me the best midfielder in the world. I think Scholes was very important for the team as he had amazing quality, but I think everyone together can take his position.”
