Following a dismal Hinrunde campaign in the Bundesliga, this season, Borussia Dortmund star Andre Schurrle could be eyeing an exit from the Signal Iduna Park in the upcoming January transfer window.

As reported by the ever-reliable Ruhr Nachrichten, the German world cup winner is clearly unhappy with his lack of chances at Dortmund. The 27-year-old has only managed 339 minutes of football in all competition this season, which is highly unsatisfactory considering the fact that Dortmund were without the services of their star players for the most part of this season.

Schurrle's advisor, Ingo Haspel, has already emphasized that his agent is looking to play as much football as possible, with the FIFA World Cup just around the corner.

Hence, the upcoming winter transfer window could be a huge chance for a few Premier League clubs to secure the signing of one of the most accomplished German forwards in recent times, bolstering their attack considerably.

Crystal Palace, in particular, are in dire need of some offensive reinforcement in the upcoming January transfer window. The Eagles have struggled with their lack of attacking thrust throughout this season.

They may also lose the services of star winger Wilfried Zaha, who has been a bright spark in an otherwise dull season for Roy Hodgson's men. The former Man United prodigy has been highly linked with a move to Arsenal, Spurs and Chelsea. Head coach Roy Hodgson also admitted this week that the Crystal Palace starlet could be sold for the right price in the January window.

Andre Schurrle could be an apt replacement for Wilfried Zaha. Although he might have the same dribbling qualities as the 25-year-old, Schurrle's sheer pace and willingness to run in behind the defence comes in very handy, particularly in the Premier League.

Furthermore, the Borussia Dortmund winger is also very good when it comes to applying the finishing touch. He has the tendency to show up in big matches, which could be ideal for Crystal Palace.

That being said, there are also a few other Premier League clubs who could definitely make sense for the German International. Clubs like West Bromwich Albion, Leicester City and Swansea will sooner or later need some attacking reinforcements in the upcoming window.

West Brom have scored the least number of goals in the Premier League this season and there's no doubt that the Baggies will be hugely aided by the addition of the star winger from Borussia Dortmund.

However, the 27-year-old is also in talks with VfB Stuttgart as Michael Reschke looks to bring back the glory of the 2010s (during his stint with Leverkusen) into his Stuttgart team this year, having already signed Mario Gomez and having the likes of Dennis Aogo in the current squadron.
