Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri is confident Italy head coach "Antonio Conte will certainly do well on the Chelsea bench" next football season.

Allegri had originally been tipped for the role in English club Chelsea, but is under contract with Juventus until June 2017 and showed no intention of leaving Turin.

Now all reports suggest Conte has already agreed terms to take over at Chelsea after Euro 2016.

"Italian coaches are the best in the world," Allegri was quoted as saying by football-italia.net on Friday.

"This is why Conte will certainly do well on the Chelsea bench," Allegri told about his predecessor at Juventus.

Chelsea last year sacked Jose Mourinho due to poor performance in the English Premier League (EPL) and appointed Guus Hiddink as interim coach until the end of this season.
