Arsenal‘s highly-rated young Brazilian forward Wellington has rejoined Levante on a season-long loan deal.

Wellington, who joined Arsenal from Fluminense last year, featured in two pre-season friendlies for the Gunners last season before leaving for Levante in the second half of the season.

The youngster, who cannot play in England until his work permit application is granted, played for Brazil in the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

A statement on Arsenal’s official website read:

“Arsenal Football Club has agreed for striker Wellington to join Spanish La Liga side Levante on a season-long loan. The loan is subject to a medical later today.”

Levante’s newly appointed manager Martinez could return to Arsenal to snap up another Brazilian, Pedro Botelho, on loan. The 21-year-old left-back made 39 appearances for Cartagena under Martinez last season, scoring four goals.
