Barcelona rule out Fabregas transfer

Fabregas wont leave Camp Nou- Barcelona vice president

Barcelona‘s vice president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed that there is no possibility of Cesc Fabregas leaving Camp Nou this season. Manchester United have made a £26 million bid for the Spanish midfielder.

Bartomeu said: “Barcelona can assure you that we will not entertain any offers for Cesc. It is totally ruled out, he’s not for sale.”

Speaking on Friday, David Moyes indicated that he was hoping to get some good news, with respect to the transfer, from the Catalan club.

Moyes said: “Hopefully there will be some good news in the not too distant future. I’m in contact with the executive vice chairman Ed Woodward, who has been dealing with it just now.

“I’ll hopefully know a little more in the next day or so.”

In his 96 appearances for Barcelona, after joining them in 2011, Fàbregas has 29 goals and 32 assists to his name.
