Ajax goalkeeper Onana's agent confirms Barcelona's interest
According to Sport, Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana's agent has confirmed that Barcelona are interested in signing their academy product. Onana was a part of Barca's youth setup from 2010 to 2015.
Onana had earlier said this week that he would like to return to the Camp Nou. He had said,
“Returning to Barca would be a dream. If I leave Ajax it would be for a bigger club”
Now his agent Albert Bovines confirmed Barca's interest. He said,
“Correct, it’s not a secret that Barca are interested,”

Jordi Alba contract to be renewed very soon
As per reports in Spain, Barcelona have made a call on Jordi Alba's contract situation and has chosen to renew his deal. The report claims that the club will announce the renewal very shortly.
Contract negotiations between Alba and the club had hit a brick-wall. However, Lionel Messi remained adamant that he wants the 29-year-old left at Barcelona and it looks like the Barca top brass have given into their talisman's demands.
Alba will sign a new deal which will tie him to the club till 2024.

Barcelona are preparing themselves for a squad overhaul in the summer and will focus on cutting deadwood when the transfer window opens. To this end, Lionel Messi has now okayed the sale of left-back Marc Cucurella who is currently on loan at SD Eibar, as per reports in Spain.
Valverde has deemed the 20-year-old too defensively fragile and wants to offload the player for €30 million. Cucurella was earlier seen as a worthy replacement to the ageing Jordi Alba. But now it looks the Spanish veteran will carry on in his role down the left-wing for a while in the very least.
