La Liga have confirmed a time for the El Clásico. They announced on Twitter that the first game between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid of the 2019/20 season, earlier scheduled for October 26, will now take place on Wednesday 18th December, 8pm CET (6pm GMT, 12.30am IST/19th December) at Camp Nou. Barcelona had originally proposed the date last month. The game was postponed because of political reasons.
The biggest fixture in world football, Barcelona vs Real Madrid, was earlier scheduled to take place on October 26th and was cacelled due to political unheaval in Catalunya. It was reported that nine separatist leaders from Barcelona were sentenced to between nine and 13 years in jail earlier this month. It had resulted in violent clashes between police and protestors in Barcelona, not far from the Camp Nou stadium.
