Madrid - Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas will be sidelined for about four weeks with a torn muscle, the Spanish league leaders said.
The 25-year-old Spaniard tore the femoral biceps muscle in his left thigh in Barca’s 2-1 win at Betis on Sunday, reports Xinhua.
The narrow win at Betis gave Barca a six-point lead over second-placed Atletico Madrid and 11 ahead of defending champions Real Madrid, who are third with 32 points.
