Kante to reject move away from Chelsea

According to London Evening Standard, N'Golo Kante has confirmed that he will stay at Chelsea despite interest from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.

The 26-year-old, who came to Stamford Bridge from Leicester for £32 million in 2016, still has three years remaining on his contract, which is worth around £150,000-a-week.

"I am at home. It is my club, I am a Chelsea player," Kante told the London Evening Standard.

"This is my second year at Chelsea. After what happened last season, it was a very good one for us because we got to celebrate winning the title," he added.

The France international, who was voted PFA Player of the Year and FWA Footballer of the Year, is regarded as a central figure in Chelsea's scheme of things owing to his consistently outstanding performances.

According to Mirror, Chelsea have reignited their interest in Luke Shaw after his latest falling out with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.

The England defender's future at Old Trafford has been thrown into doubt after he was substituted at half-time in the 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton and it is no secret Mourinho wants Tottenham Hotspur left-back Danny Rose as a replacement for Shaw.

The 22-year-old, who is a Chelsea fan along with the rest of his family, is under contract until the summer of 2019.

Kingston-born Shaw left Southampton for United in a £30 million deal in 2014.

According to the Express, Barcelona star Lionel Messi has been impressed by Chelsea ace Marcos Alonso and wants him at Camp Nou.

A product of Real Madrid's youth academy, Alonso has established himself as one of Europe's top left backs after a stellar 18 months under Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge.

The Spaniard was a vital cog in the Chelsea squad which won the Premier League title last season, impressing as a left-back in Antonio Conte’s 3-4-3 formation.

The 27-year-old, who was signed in a surprise £24 million deal from Fiorentina in the summer of 2016, has so far gone on a streak of scoring the highest number of goals scored by a defender this season (7) and 13 since last summer.
