Conte recommended Terry to Spartak Moscow

According to reports from The Metro, John Terry, the former Chelsea Captain, Leader & Legend has been reportedly approached by Spartak Moscow for a one year deal with the club, headed by former Italian Assistant Coach, Massimo Carrera.

Carrera, who was earlier an assistant to Italian Head Coach, Antonio Conte, when he was in charge of the National side, has been consulting Conte over his opinion of Terry and has been apparently given a positive response.

John Terry was filmed in Italy on Saturday, ahead of his medical at Spartak Moscow, but there has been no further news from any parties involved.

Terry had a year-long stint with Aston Villa in the English Championship, where he led the club to a Play-off final against Fulham. Since the last playoff game, Terry has been a free agent.

There were rumours about Terry being awarded minor managerial roles at various clubs, but the former Chelsea captain has ruled out the rumours stating that he still wants to play.

Despite Terry starting just nine games under the last season of Antonio Conte at Chelsea, the duo shared a close relationship, and that has led the Spartak Moscow boss to approach Conte over his opinion.

Terry was not favoured by Conte in his last season, in the famous 3-4-3 formation used by the Italian boss in his Premier League era which started off in a good note but ended up in a nightmare. Conte was sacked going into the pre-season of the 2018-19 season.

Terry being filmed in Italy during the same time, and him being a free agent currently looking for a playing role, the rumour might be a very strong one and arrives from a very diligent source in the form of The Metro.

Terry is set to be offered a lucrative £1.8million salary after tax and the Metro claims there could also be the option of a second year.

In recent interviews during the International Break, The Metro has reported that Willian has dismissed the rumours about him leaving Chelsea this summer, which saw heavy interest from Title contenders and rivals, Manchester United.

When asked about the transfer speculations, Willian responded,

"A lot of people they say a lot of things in the press, but I never said that I want to leave Chelsea, never,".
‘Always I say that I want to stay at Chelsea as long as possible, and I am happy to stay here.
"When I arrive here my plan was to stay here as long as possible and now I am here five years I hope stay five more! I know I have two years of contract left but I hope to stay more years in the Premier League. I am very happy to be here five years. I have won titles and played a lot of games with a lot of happy moments, and a few sad moments as well but that is part of football."
"But these five years have been very good for me and I am proud to be a Chelsea player."

It was a difficult summer for Chelsea Football Club as the rumours of Antonio Conte being sacked and Eden Hazard being approached by Real Madrid, increasing rapidly. Amidst these rumours, the club also saw two heavy bids being made by The Red Devils, Manchester United for the winger, Willian.

The London club rejected both the bids, stating that Willian is an important player and a part of the future plans.

Jose Mourinho looked to bolster the United squad by the addition of Willian, as the right-wing position at United still seems in contention, even after top players at the club fighting for the position.

The rumours intensified after Willian claimed that he was willing to work under the Portuguese boss ever again if he gets the opportunity.

Willian also had some training ground disagreements with Antonio Conte, which added fuel to the fire that the transfer rumour was causing. Conte had been high on praises for the Brazilian International, but their thoughts seemed to disagree every now and then, behind closed doors at the London based club.

Willian has been a rotation player in the first team after the arrival of the new boss, Maurizio Sarri, but is happy with the playing style of the new manager. He even claimed that if Conte were to stay this season with Chelsea, he might seriously consider leaving for better opportunities.

Sarri has not always given Willian the start and has preferred Pedro over him, but Willian has at least had some playing time even if as a substitute, in all the games Chelsea has played this season.

The future seems bright for Willian at Chelsea currently, but there might be an incoming Manchester United interest in January, which Sarri might have to resist.

Fabregas to AC Milan?

According to reports from The Sun, AC Milan have been eyeing up a move for unfavoured Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas, when the transfer window opens again in January.

Fabregas has struggled to break into Maurizio Sarri’s team, but the midfielder did start the new season sidelined with a knee problem. With the likes of Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic and Barkley as options for Sarri, it might be difficult to find a place in the starting lineup for the former Barcelona star.

AC Milan have been chasing Fabregas since his Arsenal days, where he shot to fame, after brilliant performances for the Gunners, as he also captained the London side before moving to his boyhood club, Barcelona.

AC Milan's failure to pen down a deal with the Spaniard came amidst the Italian club's fall from glory. The Milan based club has had a decade to forget in the shadows of Juventus in the Serie A, and the European glory days been long forgotten.

This finally might be a chance for Milan to sign the Chelsea star, as they look to revamp their squad and challenge for titles.

Fabregas’ Chelsea deal expires at the end of June, and he will be free to speak to other clubs after December.

Sarri has played N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Jorginho in midfield so far this season, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley warming the bench as cover. This makes the chances of Fabregas lessen over each passing day, as he struggles to come out from his injury and fight for a place in the first team.

Summing up all the possibilities and realities, Sarri's midfield options, Fabregas' age, AC Milan's interest and the Spaniard's contract expiring next season, it might be a strong rumour and might turn into a deal this coming January.

Fabregas could still force his way back into Sarriball, just as he did when Antonio Conte first arrived at Stamford Bridge. With full fitness still a way off for Fabregas, Milan will be made to wait to see if Chelsea are open to a bid for his sale.

With his contract expiring next winter, Chelsea will be considering to sell him to Milan and earn some pounds on his transfer, if the club decides that there is no place for him in the team.
