Cristiano Ronaldo happy to stay at Real Madrid

Real Madrid CF v Real Sociedad de Futbol - Liga BBVA

Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to continue playing in La Liga. There were constant speculations after the 28-year-old recently admitted he missed English Football.

Manchester United also tried to get the Portuguese ace back to Old Trafford after selling him to Real Madrid in 2009. It is Ronaldo who has no plans to leave Real and is pretty happy playing in Spain.

“I enjoy of course to play there [Real Madrid], I play there for four years so I want to continue there,” Ronaldo told Sky Sports News.

“It is not the best day to speak about my future. I am going to have time to speak about that at the beginning of pre-season.”

Carlo Ancelotti, recently made it clear that Ronaldo is central to his plans at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The Italian boss said: “My opinion is easy. Ronaldo’s a fantastic, marvellous player.

“It’s an honour to coach a player like Ronaldo like it was to coach Zidane.

“Ronaldo was not on the list of players like Brazilian Ronaldo, Zidane and Ronaldinho that I coached.

“He will be on the list of players I coached now and I am so happy for that.”

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said “Soon we will clarify this issue. I have no doubt that Cristiano is going to retire at Real Madrid. I’m convinced that he’ll renew. The renewals are done before the season starts.”
