- Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur would battle it out to sign Barcelona’s midfielder Sergi Roberto, after the young midfielder remained out of favour with boss Gerardo Martino. But as per EL Mundo Deportivo, interested clubs would have to meet the €20-million release clause in the 21-year-old’s contract. (Daily Star)

- Luis Suarez clarified that he is ‘comfortable and happy’ at Anfield and would not leave the club in January. Earlier rumours circulated that the Uruguayan could join Spanish giants Real Madrid. (Mirror Football)

- AS Roma eyes Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye. Cabaye had been impressive in the Premier League so far. AS Roma manager, Rudi Garcia was keen to reunite with his ex-pupil, Cabaye had earlier player under Garcia in Lille. Earlier this season the French play-maker was chased by Arsenal but he decided to continue with the Magpies. (Chronicle Live)

- Napoli and Everton are in the race to sign FC Porto’s 26-year-old midfielder Fernando. The Brazilian midfielder is expected to be one of next year’s most coveted midfielders. He would be out of contract in June and would be available for a knockdown price in January. (Talk Sport)
