Arsenal are through to the fourth round of the FA Cup having comfortably beaten Blackpool - with manager Unai Emery hinting that winter incomings could be imminent.

A brace from Joe Willock and another from Alex Iwobi sent the Gunners through, in-front of a mainly empty stadium with Blackpool's supporters protesting against their owners. Having progressed in the prestigious competition, Emery had more good news for Arsenal fans, strongly hinting that new players might be on the way before the end of the month.

After the game, he told reporters: "I think the club is working for the possibility to take some players who can help us during the next four months.

"Maybe the transfer market can help us with a centre-back, also a winger - right or left - one player can help us in this position."

Barcelona midfielder Denis Suarez has been linked with the North London side - a player Emery worked with at Sevilla - and the boss refused to rule out a move for the Spaniard.

He said: "He [Suarez] was playing in his career, and with me also, as a right or left winger."

Whether a deal for Suarez gets over the line remains to be seen, although it appears to be a transfer that could go ahead given these comments - he had already admitted moments earlier that a move for a wide player is something he wants.

Emery certainly needs more time to adjust his squad having arrived from Paris-Saint Germain last summer. One player who has already confirmed that he will leave the club as part of the shake-up is Aaron Ramsey, with reports suggesting he has already agreed a move to Italian champions Juventus.

Arsenal fans could be heard singing Ramsey's name during the Blackpool game, in which he played the full 90 minutes, but the decision might have already been decided. Should Suarez arrive, though, that would help to soften the blow.
