FC Barcelona to renew interest in Jean-Michael Seri

After missing out on the Nice midfielder in January, FC Barcelona are set to go all out in their pursuit of Jean-Michael Serri in January. Sport believes that the Catalans have dropped their interest in Liverpool's Philippe Coutinho and will now concentrate solely on acquiring Seri from the Ligue 1 side. The midfielder was ready to move to Spain in the summer but Barcelona club president Josep Bartomeu backed off from the deal at the last minute leaving Seri utterly dejected.

Marcelo signs a new long term deal with Real Madrid

Club stalwart and one of Zinedine Zidane's trusted lieutenants, Marcelo has penned a new long term deal with the European giants today. Agreeing to a new five-year contract, Marcelo will now be seen in the famous white of Real Madrid until 30th June 2022. Since joining in 2007, Marcelo has won four La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns with Los Blancos.

Inter Milan offer a new deal to Mauro Icardi

With the Argentine being a regular starter for both club and country, Inter Milan are looking to tie down their influential striker on a long term contract with a hefty release clause. Despite signing an extension as early as last October, Icardi has been offered yet another renewal by the club. Premium Sport reports that a fresh contract is on the player's table with Milan including a €110 million release clause in the new deal.

Edin Dzeko missing Mohammad Salah

A partnership between Edin Dzeko and Mohammad Salah yielded tremendous results for AS Roma last season. But the Egyptian's departure to Liverpool this past summer has left a huge gap to be filled by the Romans.

His partner in crime, Edin Dzeko has revealed that he is missing the creativeness of his former teammate, Salah. Dzeko told Calciomercato, "I scored many goals last season but it will be a lot tougher this season. I think we miss (Francesco) Totti but we need Salah as well. He used to play close to me and it's all different now."

Bayern Munich to replace Carlo Ancelotti next summer

Bild has reported that the Bavarians are mulling over the idea of working a break clause in Carlo Ancelotti's contract next summer to release him from his duties. Despite winning the Bundesliga in his first attempt, Ancelotti's men struggled in the Champions League and did not even reach the final of DfB Pokal.

A failure in winning the European trophy this season will result in Bayern Munich pulling the plug on Italian's reign with Julian Nagelsmann of Hoffenheim being tipped as his successor. ESPN also claims that if sacked, Ancelotti will eye a return to the Premier League next season.

Timo Werner hails Liverpool

After being linked with a future move to the Reds, German sensation and RB Leipzig talisman, Timo Werner, has attracted attention by hailing Liverpool. He told Sportbild, "Liverpool is a big club with a great stadium and super fans."

Earlier in the year, when asked about the atmosphere at Anfield, the 21-year-old had said, "If you were to play at Anfield and hear the fans sing 'You'll Never Walk Alone,' it would certainly be something special." Werner would be a huge addition to Liverpool next season with the young striker being a perfect fit for Jurgen Klopp's philosophy.

Mesut Ozil to leave on a free transfer

German publication, Bild has claimed that Arsenal playmaker, Mesut Ozil will leave on a free transfer next summer after not receiving any indication from the club over a new deal. The tabloid has reported that Arsenal have not held contract talks with the German since February with Ozil's camp denying rumours of a £250,000 per week offer from the club. The 28-year-old can hold talks with clubs outside England from January if the Gunners do not offer him a new deal soon.

Diego Costa arrives in Madrid

The striker has finally left Brazil but instead of returning to London, Costa has landed in Madrid to force through a move to Atletico Madrid. Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that the Spaniard will now be training at a private facility to be fit when a deal to the Colchoneros is finalized. Talks have started between the two parties with Atletico now offering €40 million up front with €4 million in add-ons and €5 million bonus.

Iker Casillas decides to stay put at FC Porto

The former Real Madrid custodian has revealed the exact reason as to why he decided to extend his stay in Portugal despite having offers from England and France.

In an interview with Esporte Interativo, Casillas said, "Spending two years here and not winning a single trophy would be a sour ending. My objective and my intention is to win titles and to help Porto to continue to be an important club in Portugal and respected in Europe."

William Carvalho wishes to join West Ham United

Despite the relations between the two clubs reaching a complete meltdown, William Carvalho is still hopeful of getting his move to the Hammers. Sporting Lisbon and West Ham United were at loggerheads after the Lisbon side accused Slaven Bilic's team of an illegal approach for their player. But with the player demanding a move, both the clubs will have to bury the hatchet with West Ham ready to reignite their interest in January.
