If there is a tournament which has punched above its weight in the past couple of years, it is The Legends Cup. Played at one of the finest venue in Delhi, Plaza Farms, Chattarpur finished off in style on February 22nd, 2015.
In a high-voltage clash for the coveted Platinum Cup, FIS clinched The Legends Cup title by defeating the 2 times former champions, Genpact in penalties. Duke Christopher, VP of IEnergizer said, “This is the best tournament in India or the right way to put it is this is the ISL of Corporate sector.”
Gold Cup was won by CBRE by defeating IEnergizer while Sapient overcame Capital IQ to win the Silver Cup.
The Legends Cup saw participation of 36 big corporate companies which included Ernst&Young, HDFC, American Express, Dish TV, EMM India, Accenture, etc. The tournament was played on a league cum knockout basis. Special awards were given to Ernst&Young (Spirit of the Game), Ciena (Fair Play Award) and Fareportal (Emerging Team).
The event was partnered by Sports Illustrated, 34 Chowringhee Lane, Worlds Of Wonder, Sportskeeda, Safexpress, Life Unfold & ELF Café who gave away a lot of gifts and goodies and a handsome prize money to the winners and all participants.
