Guwahati Super Division Football League: Defending champions NF Railway SC taste first defeat

In a group match of the ongoing Abhishek Motors R.G. Baruah Guwahati Sports Association’s Super Division Football League, Dynamo Football Club got the better of defending champion NF Railway 3-2.

NF Railway took an early lead in the second minute of the match through striker Chayaram Basumatary. Their second goal came through a penalty in the 30th minute of the match. Siba Narzary scored from the spot to give NF Railway a two goal lead.

In the second half, Dynamo came out strong and in the 58th minute, Amjao Singh reduced the margin. In the 67th minute, Dynamo got their equalizer through foreign recruit Francis. After this goal, both teams fought to find the winner. In the 86th minute, Somnath Chakraborty of Dynamo found the back of the net and gave his team a deserving win. Thus, Dynamo halted the defending champions’ five match winning streak.

Today, Assam Police Blues will meet Assam State Electricity Board SC in a group match.

GSA A Division:

Rising XI defeated the Maharana Atheltic Club 3-2 in a group encounter of the Greenvalley Jibeshwar Goswami GSA A Division League. For Rising XI, Wilson Deori scored twice in the 31st and 74th minute, while Rajesh Rabha scored in the 54th minute. For Maharana N. Surjit Singh scored in the 70th and 88th minute. Ganga SC will meet City Police SC today to decide the group winner.
