Huddersfield Town vs Manchester City: Match Preview, Team News, Predicted XI | Premier League 2018-19

Can Manchester City keep up the pressure on Liverpool?
Can Manchester City keep up the pressure on Liverpool?

It is not a good time to be a Huddersfield Town fan with the team rooted to the bottom of the table, 8 points off safety and manager David Wagner leaving the Terriers earlier in the week. On Sunday the bottom-placed side welcomes an in-form Manchester City as they look to take a point from the defending champions.

Huddersfield Town has been very poor this season and is winless in their last 10 matches in all competitions with the last victory coming against Wolves in November. The Terriers have just 11 points from their 22 matches with just 2 wins in the domestic league. The dreaded drop beckons the Terriers unless they pick up their form.

The reigning champions will once again look to keep the Merseysider at their sight with Liverpool playing Crystal Palace a day earlier than the Cityzens. The Pep Guardiola led side has been in imperious form since their mini-blip in December and are now on a 5 match winning streak in all competitions.

The first encounter between the two sides in the league ended with the Cityzens thrashing their opponents host 6-1 with Sergio Aguero scoring a hattrick.

Here is the team news and the predicted XI

Manchester City has an almost fully fit squad to call upon with long term injured Benjamin Mendy coming back to training. Captain Vincent Kompany is a doubt after Guardiola confirmed the Belgian has a small muscle problem.

Sergio Aguero is also fit and raring to go and the match against the Terriers could see Silva, Aguero and De Bruyne all lining up for the first match this season.
