It’s not often that you see a manager talk about how brilliant a goal from another team’s player was. It’s rarer still to see him talking about a totally different game altogether!
After Hull City beat West Brom 2-0 at the KC Stadium, Hull manager Steve Bruce was in the media room answering questions from the press assembled. Durin one such question, his attention was diverted to one of the TV screens which showed Wayne Rooney’s 55-yard volley against West Ham and he stopped the reporter mid-sentence to exclaim, “Oh! What a goal, by the way. You’ve got to see that! Wow! Wow! Wow!”
As he waited for the replay with bated breath, all the reporters paused in their questioning as Bruce even went on to laugh at the goalkeeper’s horrendous mistake before coming back to the questioning.
