What’s the story?

Mathias Pogba recently joined CD Manchego who play in Spain's Tercera División. It is believed that Paul Pogba's potential move to Real Madrid was one of the reasons why his elder brother sealed a move to Spain.

Addressing all the rumors, Mathias spoke about his brother's future. He believes that if his brother thinks moving to the Spanish capital would be the ideal choice, he will make it happen.

In case you didn’t know…

Zinedine Zidane is a huge admirer of Pogba and has indicated his interest in bringing the Manchester United star to the Santiago Bernabeu. The Los Blancos are not put off by the huge transfer fee the Red Devils are trying to seek. However, they are waiting for the English club to sign replacements so that they can have a swift process.

The heart of the matter...

Mathias Pogba joined CD Manchego Ciudad Real who play in Spain's Tercera División and it is believed that the switch might be an indication of Paul Pogba's arrival at the Bernabeu. When asked about rumors surrounding his brother's move, Mathias responded by saying:

It's all just rumors at present and there's nothing I can do about that. I'm in Spain because I want to be and it has nothing to do with the possibility of my younger brother securing a move.
We're relaxed about. If Paul moves to Madrid or not... so be it.

On being asked about the battering against Atletico Madrid and if his brother could be the missing piece in Zidane's squad, Mathias said,

I didn't see the game but am aware of the outcome. I feel my brother could assist with any team, if he comes to Madrid, then it will be to help the team.
I always want what is best for him. If he feels Real Madrid is the best club for him, then he'll come.

What's next?

It remains to be seen if United are willing to let go of their 26-year-old midfielder, and Madrid's failure to ship Bale off might hinder their quest to land Pogba.
