Jose Mourinho to leave Real Madrid next season?

Head coach Jose Mourinho of Real Madrid CF presents himself on the pitch to be insulted and offended by Real Madrid fans prior to start the La Liga match between Real Madrid CF and Club Atletico de Madrid at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on December 1, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.

Spanish paper Marca has reported that José Mourinho will be leaving Real Madrid next season, this after relations between the Portuguese manager and Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, broke down completely following their 2-0 win over Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

“Both Mou and Florentino Perez believe the Portuguese’s cycle on the bench at the Bernabeu is exhausted and that the current situation cannot continue beyond June 30,” the Spanish daily said. “Mourinho believes that Florentino (Perez) is ‘committing suicide’ with his decisions and statements this season – the Ramos case, the war with Toril and checking the pulse of the Bernabeu.”

“They will try to get to the end of the season in a friendly manner as Florentino does not want a crisis in the middle of the season. But what is certain is that the decision is taken: this will be the last season of the Mou tenure in Madrid,” Marca added.

Mourinho believes Florentino ”is committing suicide” with his decisions and has felt unloved after receiving no backing from Perez over incidents this season, including cases involving Sergio Ramos, Alberto Toril and Cristiano Ronaldo, as suggested by InsideSpanishFootball.

Although it is just paper talk, the speculation has probably alerted all the big clubs in Europe, including the likes of Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain.
