Rome, Aug 9 (IANS): Juventus manager Antonio Conte has said he was delighted with the progress of his new signings Angelo Ogbonna, Carlos Tevez and Fernando Llorente.

Though the Serie A champions’ journey in America ended in disappointment, Conte saw positive signs from the new arrivals, reports Xinhua.

“Carlos (Tevez) is improving game by game,” he said Thursday. “But it is obvious that he, Ogbonna and Llorente need to get to grips with the way we play.”

“I’ve liked what I have seen of Ogbonna, I’ve liked that a lot. Llorente too who, once he has recovered from the hard pre-season, will deliver his best,” he said.

Conte has warned his side against any complacency as the new season is upcoming.

“The point is that this season will be very difficult,” he added. “I’ve told that to the players and myself, seeing as I never won three Scudetti in a row.

“We need to remain focused and determined. People on the outside will say that we’ve already won, that it is a formality, that we are the best,” he said.
