Real Madrid to 'block' defender from Atletico move
Real Madrid are set to make a swift move to block Mario Hermoso from joining Atletico Madrid according to Marca. The defender was linked with a move to Bernabeu in the January transfer window, but it did not materialise.

Atletico Madrid are now keen on signing him, and reports by Cadena Cope suggest that the fee will be around €20 million. The defender is open to the move, but Real Madrid have a €15 million buy-back option and also a 50% sell-on clause.
Real Madrid are focused on signing Matthijs de Ligt right now, but with Atletico making a move for Hermoso, they have shifted their focus just to block him from joining their derby-rivals.
