The round 29 fixtures in Serie A come to an end on Monday as Lazio invite Venezia to the Stadio Olimpico.

The hosts returned to winning ways with an impressive 3-0 win at Cagliari in their previous league outing. A red card to Adam Marušić in the 88th minute was the only blemish on a solid performance last week.

The visiting side remained in the relegation zone as they suffered their second consecutive loss in the league as Sassuolo overwhelmed them 4-1 at home.

Lazio vs Venezia Head-to-Head

The two sides have crossed paths 30 times across all competitions since their first encounter in 1928. This will be just the fifth meeting in the 21st century between them, with Lazio securing four wins in that period.

The hosts have secured wins in more than half of their games against the Venice-based outfit. They lead 16-8 in wins and six games have ended in draws.

They last met at the Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium in December, with the Biancocelesti coming away with a 3-1 win.

Manuel Lazzari and Danilo Cataldi are the two injury concerns for the home side. Stefan Radu is expected to join the duo on the sidelines as he trained separately from the group with a heel injury this week.

Adam Marušić will serve a one-game suspension, leaving very few options at full-back for Maurizio Sarri.

Luca Lezzerini and Tyronne Ebuehi continue to be sidelined for the Lagunari. Goalkeeper Sergio Romero became the latest casualty for the visitors with a knee injury that will keep him out of action for at least four weeks. Gianluca Busio's hamstring injury is expected to keep him out of this game.

Dennis Johnsen, Dor Peretz and Michaël Cuisance were absent from the squad in the 4-1 loss to Sassuolo and remain doubtful for this game. Mattia Aramu will serve a one-game suspension for this encounter.

Lazio vs Venezia Prediction

Lazio are unbeaten at home against Venezia in Serie A so far. They have kept five clean sheets in Serie A in 2022 and are certainly the favorites against the visiting side.

On their part, the visitors have scored in six of their last seven games and will not go down without a fight. But a comfortable win for the capital club seems to be the likely outcome here.

Prediction: Lazio 3-1 Venezia
