Hello and welcome to the Liverpool news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories of the day surrounding the Reds!

Liverpool linked with Real Madrid midfielder

Liverpool have been linked with making a move for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Colombia international, who is currently on a two-year loan at Bayern Munich, seemingly doesn’t have a future at Real Madrid, especially following Zinedine Zidane’s reappointment.

Although Bayern Munich can make Rodriguez’s move permanent in the summer, the Bavarians will have to shell out €45 million.

If the German giants decide against retaining the 27-year-old, Real Madrid will place him on the transfer list, but will not sell him for less than £51million.

Besides Liverpool, fellow Premier League giants Manchester United have also been credited with showing interest in Rodriguez.

Turkish giants eye move for Liverpool loanee

Galatasaray are eyeing a move for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic at the end of the season, according to reports in Turkey.

The Serbian, who signed for Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in 2016, is currently on loan at Hertha Berlin.

Although Grujic has struggled with an ankle injury in the present campaign, he has stepped up whenever called upon by the German outfit.

The 22-year-old has been reportedly scouted by Galatasaray for the last 3 years, with the Turkish giants now keen to sign him next summer.

Grujic, whose contract with Liverpool runs until 2023, has scored 3 goals and provided an assist in 15 Bundesliga games this season.

Lazio favourites to sign Liverpool striker

Young Liverpool striker Bobby Adekanye is reportedly set to leave the club on a free in the summer, having rejected the Reds’ contract offer.

The Dutch starlet, who joined Liverpool’s youth set-up from PSV Eindhoven in 2017, is yet to make his senior debut for the Merseyside giants.

However, Serie A side Lazio are interested in signing Adekanye on a free transfer at the end of the season and have already placed an offer for the 20-year-old.

The versatile attacker has scored once and set up 2 goals in 9 Premier League 2 appearances this season, while he has also netted twice in 4 UEFA Youth League games.
