Hello and welcome to Liverpool FC transfer roundup. The Reds are currently without any right-back at the moment, with Trent Alexander-Arnold not expected to feature for another two weeks. When Jurgen Klopp looks at the bench, he will be finding only the young Rafael Camacho after loaning the experienced Nathaniel Clyne out.

Liverpool's lack of creativity was once again exposed in the first half against Crystal Palace where they struggled to breakdown the defence. This is another prospect which might prompt the German to make a move in the January window.

#1 Nabil Fekir says he does not see his future at Lyon

Liverpool were so close to wrapping up the deal for Nabil Fekir in the summer transfer window for a fee of 52 million Euros, but it did not go through. James Pearce from Liverpool Echo confirmed that the Reds tried to go back with a smaller fee because of their doubt about his knees which is not in perfect shape according to the medical team.

Lyon captain has already made sure that he will sign not extend his contract with the French outfit as he sees his future elsewhere. There is an interest from Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea as well.

The midfielder spoke to the press recently "Discussions are ongoing. I have sat down with the president, things are advancing slowly. When will I take a decision? I am not fixing myself a date, I am not in a rush. Nobody is putting any pressure on it and I like to take my time.

"I do not know [how long I will stay]. Last year was supposed to be my last, and in the end, I'm still here. I cannot know the answer to this. I am happy at Lyon, but which player doesn't dream of discovering a new league, another club?"

There is every chance of landing him for a lower fee in the summer transfer window as his contract runs down in 2020.

#2 Leipzig manager says Bayern move unlikely for Timo Werner

Bundesliga expert Chris Williams reported that Liverpool are targetting a summer deal for Timo Werner. The German International who has refused to extend his contract which runs down until 2020 with RB Leipzig has decided to search for options elsewhere.

However, the German outfit manager has openly said that the chances of moving to Bayern are very less as they already have their talisman Robert Lewandowski at disposal.

Ralf Ragnick spoke to the media "If Bayern are serious, then it will be difficult for us. But they often play with one striker, so I see him staying with us for the next two or three years."

#3 Liverpool desperate to offload Lazar Markovic

Lazar Markovic joined Liverpool during the summer of 2014 for a fee of 20 million pounds from Benfica. But, it has not gone according to the script for the Serbian International who is struggling to find potential suitors for him in the transfer market.

It has been more than three years since he played a game for the Reds, but he has earned nearly 10 million pounds in the process. His deal did to Anderlecht in the summer did not go through because he was not willing to take a wage cut.

Jurgen Klopp is desperate to offload him to make some money in the January window as the forward's contract is expiring this summer.
