One of the promising youngsters in City's academy, Rabbi Matondo has been linked to many Bundesliga clubs lately after he rejected a new contract offer with his current deal running out in summer next year. Matondo regarded as the fastest player in the entire City squad, and Pep Guardiola is an admirer of the Wales International.

Man City rejected a bid from Schalke earlier but now reports emerged that a fee of £11.29million has been agreed between the two clubs with Rabbi set to join other Britsh talents in the Bundesliga.

According to reports, Manchester City has been told to shell out £35million for Sebastian Rudy if they want to sign him from Schalke in the summer. Pep Guardiola is mulling over a backup for Fernandinho with Rudy among the ones targetted by City.

The German International was one of the top players at Hoffenheim before moving to Bayern Munich. He is currently struggling for form at Schalke and could consider the chance to reunite with his former manager, Pep Guardiola if an offer falls in his way. Man City are also monitoring Declan Rice from West Ham in case Rudy's deal doesn't go through in the summer.

Speaking after the match, Simeone said -

“I liked Thomas today. He and Rodrigo [Hernandez Cascante] were great,” Simeone told reporters.
“I think he’s improving, Thomas is an amazing player. He could have played for Manchester City [or] Manchester United.
“We’re talking about a great player here. I rate him very highly.”

According to reports, Leicester City full-back, Ben Chilwell has been looked upon as one of the primary targets for Manchester City in the summer who wants a natural alternative to Benjamin Mendy. The Frenchman signed for City last season but spent of the time in the sidelines due to injury.

On his absence, Pep Guardiola has used Delph as the makeshift left back last season and even Zinchenko in a few matches this campaign as well. However, neither seemed to have impressed the manager who wants to bring in a proper left back to maintain the healthy competition in that position.
