Here are 3 men that won Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the game:

#3 Diogo Dalot

Diogo Dalot was brilliant on the night

Diogo Dalot was brilliant on the night for Solskjaer. He came on as a second half substitute for the injured Alexis Sanchez and he had an impact straight away. His pressing was causing problems for Southampton, and he won the ball a number of times higher up the field.

Playing on the right wing for the second consecutive game, Dalot put in some delightful balls, to which their was no end product unfortunately. But, this match firmly states the fact that Dalot is a Manchester United quality player, and that Solskjaer can trust him more.

#2 Andreas Pereira

Andreas Pereira started the match on the right of the midfield and in the first half, he had a frustrating outing. But, Solskjaer put him in the number 10 role in the second half and he reaped the benefits from it. The Brazilian brought Manchester United with an absolutely stunning goal from atleast 35 yards out. It curved into the top corner and it was delightful to watch.

He also gave the assist for Manchester United's second goal, which was scored by Romelu Lukaku. Andreas Pereira clearly looked more comfortable in that free role, and now the Brazilian looks set to start in the attacking role against PSG as Paul Pogba is suspended. Pereira clearly took his chance to impress Solskjaer and he was then substituted for Fred late in the second half.

#1 Romelu Lukaku

The big man started as a striker for the second consecutive game in the Premier League. He missed three wonderful opportunities in the first half for Manchester United, but he made amends in the second half.

He took Manchester United in front with a brilliant goal. His footwork to find space for the shot was brilliant and then his finish was great too. Then came a brilliant moment, Romelu Lukaku scored another peach from the edge of the box to take United in front again. That was his second goal from his weaker right foot in the match, and it was a special one too.

Romelu Lukaku has now scored two back to back braces for Manchester United and Solskjaer would be really happy with that. He has taken his chances brilliantly and it looks like Manchester United have their big Belgian number 9 back, just like all the other players.
