Can Pogba convince Girezmaan to play at Manchester United?

Antoine Griezmann is one of the world’s best players at the moment and latest reports from M.E.N Sport claim that Manchester United are favourites to land the Frenchman’s signature.

The 25-year-old top scored at Euro 2016 and has begun the new campaign prolifically under Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone scoring 6 goals in 8 games and guiding Atletico Madrid to the top of La Liga table.

Arsenal and Chelsea are also monitoring the Frenchman, but Manchester United are confident of convincing Griezmann to choose Old Trafford because of Paul Pogba. The Atletico Madrid forward has a release clause of £89.3 million and although many Premier League clubs are willing to meet it, United are counting on Pogba’s close friendship with Griezmann to convince him to join the Red Devils.

With the future of Diego Simeone uncertain, Atletico Madrid will face a real fight to keep Antoine Griezmann at Vicente Calderon next season.

Didier Deschamps backs Pogba to come good at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba needs to be given more time to demonstrate his quality in England as his hefty price tag has raised expectations to a very high level, France coach Didier Deschamps has said.

Pogba, who helped France reach the Euro 2016 final in July, has endured a mixed start at Old Trafford since making a world record 89 million pound ($112.95 million) move back to Manchester from Juventus in August.

Pogba was anonymous in last month's defeats to Manchester City and Feyenoord but scored his first goal for the club in an improved display in a 4-1 win over Leicester City before another lacklustre performance in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Stoke City.

"He has changed his club team and needs to find his bearing with his new team mates," Deschamps told reporters in France.

"With Paul, we always expect more. When he does something neutral, often it is not enough. He is someone we expect to make assists in every game... there is an expectation that is too large. Paul is okay in his own head. He knows what he wants."

The Frenchman is one of the most complete young midfielders in the world and Deschamps is confident that Pogba will fulfill his immense potential at Manchester United.
