Marouane Fellaini left Manchester United after a seven-year spell

The transfer season is done and dusted and clubs all over Europe are now ready to face the remainder of the season with fresh and new ammunition added to their respective squads. However, the same doesn't hold for Manchester United.

The Red Devils made no significant activity related to signing players but mostly concentrated on clearing the wage bill. Marouane Fellaini's departure remains the highlight of the transfer window.

On that note, here's a complete report of the deals completed by the club in the transfer window.

INS:

Manchester United were surprisingly quiet in this transfer window and brought no new faces to Old Trafford. However, they made a valuable addition to their youth academy.

Martin Svidersky (Presov)

Initially, Manchester United had already agreed on terms with Slovak prodigy Martin Svidersky in April 2018. They beat rivals Chelsea and Liverpool for the teenager's signature.

Svidersky's move to United only became official in this window since this was the first transfer window after he turned sixteen.

Svidersky signed a three-year deal with Manchester United that will last till 2021.

OUTS:

Manchester United may not have made a significant signing in January, but they haven't shied away from clearing names off their wage bill. The Red Devils have sold two players and loaned out seven others before the transfer window slammed shut.

Loans:

Ethan Hamilton (Rochdale)

Ethan Hamilton has been loaned out to Rochdale for the remainder of the 2018/19 season. The 20-year-old signed his first professional contract with United at the start of this campaign and made his senior debut in the pre-season tour against AC Milan.

Joel Pereira (Kortrijk)

Goalkeeper Joel Pereira's wait to become a first-team regular at Old Trafford has been extended yet again. The 22-year-old shot-stopper was loaned out for the fourth time; he joined KV Kortrijk, who are 10th in the Belgian First Division.

Prior to his latest loan move, Pereira spent the first half of this season on loan to Portuguese side Vitoria Setubal.

Regan Poole (Newport)

Signed as a young prodigy in 2015, Welshman Regan Poole has been loaned out for the second time by Manchester United in January. He will ply his trade at Newport for the remainder of the season.

Poole is yet to make a senior appearance at United, albeit he has succeeded in making the bench at Old Trafford in 2017.

Tom Sang (Fylde)

Tom Sang, who signed a new deal for Man United last year, has signed for Fylde on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old is primarily a center-back, possessing the versatility of functioning anywhere in the back four.

He has featured for United's U23 side and in the UEFA Youth League.

Callum Whelan (Port Vale)

20-year-old Callum Whelan has been loaned out to League Two outfit Port Vale until the end of the season. The talented midfielder committed his future to the club at the start of this campaign.

He has also been a nominee for the Jimmy Murphy Player of the Year award.

Zak Dearnley (Oldham)

Zak Dearnley, alongside Callum Whelan, signed a contract extension at Manchester United at the start of the season. The 19-year-old forward has been loaned out to Oldham.

He also made it to the bench for a Premier League game against Crystal Palace in 2017.

Matty Willock (Crawley)

Matty Willock has been loaned out for the fourth time by Manchester United; he will play for Crawley Town until the season ends.

The 22-year-old spent the first half of the season on loan at Scottish Premier League side St. Mirren.

TRANSFERS

Ro-Shaun Williams (Shrewsbury)

20-year-old Ro-Shaun Williams has left Manchester United permanently and signed a two-and-a-half year deal for Shrewsbury.

Coming through the youth ranks at Carrington, Williams made two bench appearances for the senior team in 2016 and was also a part of Jose Mourinho's pre-season tour last summer.

Marouane Fellaini (Shandong Lueneng)

Marouane Fellaini has parted ways with Manchester United and signed for Chinese Super League outfit Shandong Lueneng. The Belgian made 177 appearances over a span of seven years and scored 22 goals for the Red Devils.

Shandong Lueneng paid £10.5m to bring Fellaini to China. The 31-year-old will earn around £365,000 per week at his new club.

The ones that got away:

Manchester United were linked with a host of defenders since a center-back was, and still remains, a top priority at Old Trafford. However, the Red Devils failed to address the issue in January and lost out on two great center-halves who could have improved their backline

Toby Alderweireld

Toby Alderweireld was linked heavily with a move to Manchester United given his contract that was due to expire at the end of this season.

Tottenham, however, succeeded in triggering the one-year extension in his contract and tying him down until 2020. His release clause is now set to £25m following the extension, which means Tottenham will lose him for a very minimal fee if they don't persuade him to stay for the long term.

Kalidou Koulibaly

Kalidou Koulibaly was yet another defender heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, but the mammoth asking price of Napoli put the deal off.

United matched Napoli's initial asking price of £90m, but the Partenopei upped the demand to £108m, thereby putting United off the radar.

However, the Red Devils haven't yet given up on Koulibaly and are expected to return for him in the summer transfer season. They might face stiff competition from Real Madrid for the center-back's signature.
