United lock horns with arch-rivals Liverpool in a mouth-watering clash

The 2018/19 Premier League season has shaped up to be an exciting affair over the previous weeks and things will get even better when two of the fiercest rivals in the history of English football lock horns at Old Trafford on Sunday. Liverpool will look to reclaim top spot, while Manchester United will look to dent their rivals' chances of lifting the silverware that has eluded the visitors for 30 years.

Liverpool got back to winning ways in the league with a comfortable 3-0 win against Bournemouth and then drew 0-0 against Bayern Munich midweek, in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds have been handed a boost as Virgil Van Dijk is set to return to the heart of defence after missing the game against Bayern through suspension and Klopp would expect his side to continue their impressive run in the league with the defender back in action.

On the other hand, Manchester United are high on confidence after brushing aside Chelsea 2-0, in the fifth round of the FA Cup. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to be handed an injury boost as Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial could return just in time for Sunday's blockbuster clash.

Xherdan Shaqiri's brace and Sadio Mane's early strike guided Liverpool to a 3-1 win over United in the reverse fixture, which proved to be Jose Mourinho's final game as United boss.

After enduring a torrid time under Jose Mourinho, Paul Pogba is showing his true class after putting in a series of scintillating displays under the guidance of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Frenchman has scored 8 goals and provided 5 assists under the new manager, as compared to 3 goals and 3 assists under Mourinho.

Pogba will be a key figure in the United side that is to be fielded against Liverpool and his blend of physicality and intricate footwork will be a key aspect in unlocking a disciplined Liverpool side. His improved work rate and foraying runs into the opposition box would also be needed if United want to hurt Liverpool and emerge victorious at home.

Liverpool: Fabinho

Fabinho continued his impressive run of form with an assured performance against Bayern Munich as Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw at home by the German Champions. In yet another high voltage encounter, Fabinho will have to bring his A-game as Liverpool face a stern test away from home against Manchester United.

His composure, ability to break up play, positioning skills and ball playing abilities will come to the fore against a United side who can be devastating on the counter. In terms of offensive requirements, Fabinho's ability to play in between the lines will be key if Liverpool are to carve apart a rejuvenated Manchester United squad. He will also be key to stopping the likes of Pogba and Herrera from controlling the game in midfield.
