Manuel Pellegrini to replace Andrea Stramaccioni at Inter?

Malaga CF football team’s head coach Manuel Pellegrini attends a training session at the Petrovsky stadium in Saint-Petersburg on November 20, 2012 on the eve of the UEFA Champions League group C football match Malaga CF against Zenit St. Petersburg.

Italian side Inter Milan made an enquiry for Manuel Pellegrini in the summer, revealed the Malaga manager’s agent.

“There are always offers and inquiries for coaches at this level. It’s true, Inter Milan has sounded out his interest, as have several other important European clubs,” the manager’s agent, Jesus Martinez told FCInterNews.it.

Although, Martinez insists that Pellegrini is happy and fully committed to Malaga, and has no interest in moving to San Siro.

“Other clubs tested the waters, but knowing that he has a contract with Malaga, the approaches were tepid. His intention is to stay at Malaga, although the economic uncertainty could see the club project change,” added Martinez.

“The club has had cash flow problems, but they’re slowly settling their debts. We have not had problems, Manuel has a contract through 2015 and intends to honour it.”

When asked about Pellegrini’s take on the Chilean national team job, Martinez said: “I haven’t heard of any meetings or anything. As I said before, the national team is a very personal thing for him.”
