Microsoft's assistant helper Cortana and her World Cup predictions - Is she the successor to Paul the Octopus?

Cortona has a 100% record on its predictions so far

Microsoft has come out with its assistant helper program better known as Cortana who has been making waves for her hundred percent prediction record till now.

Cortona is already being compared with Paul the Octopus and its predictions during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Cortana so far has a 100% prediction record, something which even the Octopus couldn’t achieve.

Cortana predicted correctly the outcome of all the four Round of 16 matches which have taken place so far. She had called for Brazil, Colombia, Netherlands and Costa Rica to advance to the next round.

Cortana has backed France and Germany to advance to the next round and has also called for Belgium to beat USA in the upcoming Round of 16 matches to be held on 1st July,2014.

Marcus Ash, Microsoft’s group program manager for Cortana on Windows Phone tweeted, “Cortana up for four nil but that there were “many matches to go”.

He later tweeted this after Belgium’s nail biting win over the United States in the round of 16.
