What's the story?

Ahead of his side's clash against Manchester United, Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah has admitted that they would be facing a more confident United team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer adding that games against the Red Devils and their Merseyside rivals Everton are always big.

In case you didn't know...

Under interim manager Solskjaer, United appears to be a much-improved side compared to the torrid team they were under Jose Mourinho.

The Red Devils have secured 11 wins from 13 games since the arrival of their new boss, who is yet to face a solitary defeat in the league.

Liverpool is scheduled to face United tomorrow night in a crucial game that will determine the race for the Premier League title.

The last time the old rivals faced one another, United succumbed to a 3-1 defeat at Anfield, in a game that proved to be Mourinho's last as Red Devils manager.

The heart of the matter

Salah refuses to dismiss United's recent developments and believes that Liverpool will be given a far more difficult time by Solskjaer's men than the last time they met.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Egyptian said, "I think they are different now, they’ve won 11 games and have more confidence."

"With Mourinho, it was a little bit different, but he is a smart manager. Everyone knows they are one of the best in the world. They were struggling little bit [with Mourinho] but after that, they perform better."

"When you play for Liverpool against Manchester United – or against Everton – you realize how big that game is especially."

Salah also spoke about the tough few weeks that Liverpool have ahead of them saying, "It is a very big week for us. And if we win three games and are top of the table, that is huge for us. When you have three games in a week or ten days, you just need to win, win, win, then after that you have time to think."

"Even when we are not top of the league, I know how much United want to win against Liverpool and Everton the same. For me, it is not a big deal. We just need to do what we have been doing for the last couple of months."

What's next?

A win against United would see Liverpool go three points clear at the top of the Premier League table but a draw would also see them ahead of Manchester City by a point.

Catch the game tomorrow at 7.35pm (IST).
