Milan, Nov 11 (IANS) New Inter Milan coach Stefano Pioli has said he did not come to the Italian football club to sell illusions to the fans, but stressed that he would like to qualify for the Champions League.

Pioli, who was chosen as coach to replace Dutchman Frank De Boer, was enthusiastic about coaching the Argentine Mauro Icardi and asked his squad to play all games with huge commitment, reports Efe.

"I'd be content if we got to the Champions League... I don't want anyone to be under any illusions, it won't be easy but we have a chance to reach the objective that the club wants," Pioli said on Thursday.

The former Lazio coach took the captain of the team, Icardi, as an example of the attitude he likes to see in the team.

"I'm happy to coach a player like him. He's a very talented striker who is scoring consistently and I hope he'll keep doing so, as well as showing great determination and a willingness to sacrifice," he said.
