Chelsea traveled to Carrow Road to face Norwich City as Frank Lampard looked for his first win as Blues manager. The match ended 2-3 in the away side's favor, thanks to goals from Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount. For Norwich, the goals were scored by Teemu Pukki and Todd Cantwell.

In the first half of the game, Chelsea started stronger as Abraham found the back of the net with a sweet first time finish around the 3rd minute of the game.

Norwich equalized straight away as their top scorer Pukki found Cantwell for a tap in. The match was played at a tremendous pace and the away side went in front again, thanks to a great touch and finish from Mount.

Norwich equalized again though, thanks to a typical run in behind the defense and a lovely finish from Pukki. The first half ended 2-2 with the match in the balance.

The second half started with Chelsea in the ascendency. The away side created a lot of opportunities before Abraham won the game for the Blues with a brilliant goal. Chelsea at the end held onto the lead and in this piece, we are going to take a look at the five talking points from the game:

#5 Mason Mount impressive again

Mason Mount continued his great form against Norwich as he scored for the second game running in the Premier League. The goal itself was a great one as Mount was found by Christian Pulisic on the left side, and the Englishman ran past two defenders with a brilliant touch before finding the top corner.

Mount started from the left side rather than his preferred number 10 position and displayed his versatility. He was found out positionally on a couple of occasions but that comes with experience.

So far, the Englishman has repaid the manager's faith in him and Lampard would be proud of the youngster.

#4 N'Golo Kante was missed dearly by the Chelsea defense

As we saw against Manchester United in Chelsea's first Premier League game, and now against Norwich, without N'Golo Kante, the Blues' midfield lacks a defensive presence. Neither Jorginho nor Mateo Kovacic shielded their team's defense well enough.

Norwich's first goal on the day signified the above fact perfectly as Moritz Leitner spun past Jorginho quite easily and found Cantwell, who played a lovely one-two with Pukki and found the back of the net.

Joriginho has brilliant distribution skills but he often gets found out defensively and he simply has to improve if he is to play in that defensive midfield role.

#3 Daniel Farke's team showed no signs of pragmatism throughout the game

After watching the three games that Norwich have played in the Premier League, it is fair to say that Daniel Farke wants his team to play the way they won the Championship last year.

Norwich were at their free-flowing best when they had the ball but the problems remained at the other side of the pitch. The home side's expansive style means that they are quite open at the back and that defensive vulnerability cost them the game.

There were some clear positives for Farke and his team but they are facing Manchester City next and if their defense isn't up to pace again, the champions will quite frankly be ruthless.

#2 Tammy Abraham displayed his quality with a brilliant brace

After some average performances as Chelsea's number 9 from Tammy Abraham, the young Englishman repaid his manager's faith with a man of the match performance.

His two finishes were of top quality. The first one was a well-timed first-time finish and he was found by Cesar Azpilicueta. The second one from him turned out to be the winner as he beat two defenders before firing a low drive into the back of the net.

Abraham's hold-up play was much better on the day and his movement caused problems for Norwich's defense throughout the game. Some of his touches were also of top quality and it is fair to say, the Englishman displayed his quality for the first time under Frank Lampard.

#1 Frank Lampard's Chelsea blues come to an end

Frank Lampard recorded his first win as the Chelsea manager and it is fair to say, the Englishman would be relieved. Lampard hasn't had the best of lucks at the start of his tenure as his team's best player, N'Golo Kante and Antonio Rudiger have been out due to injuries.

Lampard has so far trusted in his young players and most of them have impressed by now. This was a result that his team wanted to keep their morale high and while it wasn't an easy ride on the Carrow Road, his team managed to get the job done.
