The riches of the Premier League clubs are widely known to the rest of world. Although it was expected that the usual suspects would not hesitate to spend big money this summer, the clubs outside the traditional top six have also joined in on the act as they look to make a mark in the most exciting league in world football.

The fact that newly-promoted Aston Villa are the biggest spenders this summer is the most startling example yet of the power of Premier League money. The likes of Newcastle United, West Ham United and Brighton have broken their transfer record among others, a further indication of their spending power.

On that note, let's look at some of the most notable signings made by clubs outside the top-six.

#1 - Sebastien Haller

West Ham pulled off a massive coup in the transfer market by shattering their club transfer record for the signing of Sebastien Haller.

The move came as a shock to the rest of Europe as the Frenchman looked destined for a club in the Champions League after his exploits with Eintracht Frankfurt last season.

The London club had no hesitation in parting with a fee of £45 million to acquire Haller's services and he's an early contender for the tag of signing of the season.

Frankfurt exceeded their wildest expectations last season and were the surprise package of the season by a fair distance, as they finished sixth in the Bundesliga standings and were a penalty shootout victory away from a shot at Europa League glory, losing out to eventual winners Chelsea in the semi-final.

In many ways, Luka Jovic's breakthrough season with the German club overshadowed Haller as he continued to go under the radar.

His strike partner sealed a move to Real Madrid for fee believed to be in the region of £60 million and after it looked like Haller would reject West Ham's advances, he finally sealed his move to the Premier League after weeks of speculation.

The 25-year-old registered 15 goals and 9 assists in the Bundesliga last season and made a name for himself as one of the most decisive players in the league.

Haller's technical ability is incredibly underrated for a man of his stature and although he is often passed off as just another target man owing to his physique, his overall game-play is much better than what he's given credit for.

Aside from his goal-scoring prowess, Haller excels at bringing his teammates in to play and his tally of 9 assists mirrors this fact.

That said, West Ham could also use his height as an outlet when it comes to tackling a high pressing side like Liverpool, as his hold-up play and ability to play with his back turned away from goal is a main feature of his game-play.

The man dubbed as the Bundesliga's hybrid hit-man is all set to take the Premier League by storm as West Ham look to bridge the gap between themselves and the top-six.

#2 - Joelinton

Another Bundesliga import, Joelinton arrives in England after impressing under Julian Nagelsmann at Hoffenheim.

The Brazilian front-man was signed by the German club in 2015 but secured a loan move away to Rapid Vien in order to get regular game-time under his belt.

It is in Austria that Joelinton made a name for himself as he spent two successful season's on loan the club, featuring regularly in the Austrian Bundesliga as well as the Europa League.

Upon returning to his parent club, the 22-year-old capitalized on the opportunity to establish himself as one of the mainstay's of Nagelsmann's attack as he went on to register 11 goals and 9 assists, a fantastic return considering it was his first full season in the German top-flight.

The Brazilian's versatility and work-rate have drawn comparisons with Liverpool striker Roberto Firmino, who was also on the books of Hoffenheim before his move to the Premier League.

Joelinton's transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £40 million, a fee that comfortably eclipses the £21 million transfer record sum the club paid to acquire Miguel Almiron's services earlier this year.

#3 - Leandro Trossard

A new era beckons at Brighton and Hove Albion. After helping the club to promotion and cementing their stay in the top-flight in successive seasons, the club felt the need for a fresh impetus, thereby deciding to part company with Chris Hughton.

Graham Potter was appointed at the helm and he wasted no time in attempting to stamp his authority at the club.

Leandro Trossard arrived from Genk for an undisclosed fee and the Belgian winger comes with a reputation of being one of the most potent attackers in his home country, registering 14 goals and seven assist 34 league outings for his club.

The diminutive attacker predominantly plays on the left-flank and Potter will be expecting his new signing to ease the pressure on Glen Murray, who has been the only reliable source of goals in their Premier League stint.

Trossard will look to dazzle the Premier League with his electric pace and silky feet and will be expected to play a key role if Brighton are to avoid the drop once again.

#4 - Ayoze Perez

Ayoze Perez is a household name in the Premier League and his exploits at Newcastle United have earned him a cult-hero status in recent seasons.

In a summer of change at the Tyneside club, Rafa Benitez's untimely departure has led to an exodus of sorts, as the likes of Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez have sealed permanent moves away from the club and Sean Longstaff is wanted by Manchester United.

Leicester City capitalized on Newcastle's turmoil and snapped up Ayoze Perez in a deal believed to be in the region of £30 million and the Spaniard is seen as the ideal candidate to complement Jamie Vardy in attack.

Perez is at the perfect age to kick-on and make himself an indispensable member of his team and his versatility allows him to cover multiple positions in attack.

The Spaniard will look to hit the ground running immediately as Leicester City aim to bridge the gap between themselves and the top-six.

#5 - Moise Kean

Moise Kean's Everton move is imminent after multiple reliable sources including Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed that the Italian striker is set to fly into the UK tomorrow after the Merseyside club agreed on a deal with Juventus.

Since the turn of the year, Kean has been one of Juventus' standout players and chipped in with crucial contributions in the title run-in as the Old Lady sealed yet another league title.

After Maurizio Sarri's appointment, it was apparent that the Italian striker would not be part of his manager's plan, prompting him to act quickly in recent days to seal a move away from the club.

Kean is blessed with electric pace and he's developed a reputation of being typically deadly in front of goal, making him a nightmare for defenders to play against.

The 19-year-old brings with him a handful of characteristics that Everton have lacked in recent seasons and he'll look to pick up right where he left off last season.
