Liverpool v West Ham United - Premier League

The Premier League season is well and truly underway and we still do not have any clue to what the table will look like at the end of the season. The three teams on top, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, are still unbeaten.

The credit for this has to go to the players who have stepped up and delivered for their team when needed. Man City has been working collectively as a unit while Liverpool is still dependent on Salah and Mane. Chelsea, meanwhile, have Eden Hazard leading the charge for them and he is slowly getting the help he needs to keep the momentum going.

With 12 gameweeks done and dusted, we have the brand new Premier League Power Rankings out! This monthly feature will keep you updated with the top 10 players in the league as per Sportskeeda's ranking formula.

Without further ado, here are the top 10 Premier League players right now:

#10 Mohamed Salah (Score: 23.8)

Mo Salah has not had the best of starts this season and is stuck at #10 in our Power Rankings. The Egyptian has not been able to replicate the form he had in the Premier League last season but is slowly getting into the groove. He has scored 6 of Liverpool's 23 goals this season – same as Sadio Mane.

The Premier League Player of the year for the 2017/18 season has not been at his best ever since he got injured in the UEFA Champions League final. He's been a little more 'cautious' when defenders get close to him and his first touch hasn't been that great either.

The Liverpool star will have to step up big time if the Reds want to end their Premier League title drought. Jurgen Klopp has got Xherdan Shaqiri to play in Salah's position in the cup games. That should give the Egyptian enough rest to be fit for most of the Premier League games.

#9 Harry Maguire (Score: 25.1)

Leicester City v Watford - Premier League
Leicester City v Watford - Premier League

Relegated with Hull City, £12 million move to Leicester City, first England cap and interest from Manchester United – the last 24 months for Harry Maguire have been crazy. The 25-year-old has developed to become one of the best defenders in the league.

Averaging at 1.5 tackles per game and 1.7 interceptions, the former Hull City man is the best defender in the league right now. He might not be very effective offensively, but when he goes up for the corners, he does manage to get to the ball more often than not.

He is undoubtedly leading the charge for Leicester's defence now and is proving to be worth more than the £50 million the Foxes rejected from United. With 2 goals as well under his belt, Maguire has all the qualities to become the best defender in England soon.

It won't be long before he makes the big move but it will be interesting to see which club he picks.

#8 Ryan Fraser (Score: 26.7)

AFC Bournemouth v Leicester City - Premier League
AFC Bournemouth v Leicester City - Premier League

AFC Bournemouth has been the surprise package this season so far. The Cherries have been in some scintillating form and are currently 6th in the table with 20 points from 12 games.

While many would give credit to Eddie Howe and Callum Wilson, Ryan Fraser has been the real deal for them. The 24-year-old Scottish midfielder has been playing on the left flank and has been involved in 9 of the 21 goals scored by Bournemouth.

He won Bournemouth's Player of the Month award for August and has only gotten better ever since. He's scored 3 crucial goals so far and has set up 6 others for his teammates.

Fraser's form will be key during Bournemouth's quest for European football and should he continue playing like this, there is no way the Cherries will finish outside the top 7. However, he needs to work on defensive skills. He also takes his time while going in on tackles and often mistimes them.

#7 Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Score: 27)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Wins the EA Sports Player of the Month Award - October 2018
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang Wins the EA Sports Player of the Month Award - October 2018

Arsenal's record signing, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been on top of his game this season. He's scored 7 goals and assisted one so far this season but has only managed to play the full 90 minutes once!

Aubameyang was awarded the Premier League Player of the Month award for October and rightfully so. The Gabon star scored 5 goals and assisted once despite being on the pitch for just 125 minutes.

Moreover, he has been playing as a left winger more than a striker these days. Unai Emery prefers to use Auba's pace on the wings. Lacazette's form in front of goal might also be a reason but the Gabon star has no complaints and is enjoying at a great season with the Gunners.

#6 Willian (Score: 27.5)

Chelsea FC v Everton FC - Premier League
Chelsea FC v Everton FC - Premier League

Willian might not be a fan favourite at Chelsea, but he has been a vital part of their amazing start to the season. The Brazilian has scored twice and assisted the same number of times this season.

However, it is his key passes and crosses that have got Chelsea the breakthrough in many games. Maurizio Sarri and the Chelsea board rebuffed all interest from Barcelona to keep the 30-year-old at Stamford Bridge, and it is proving to be worth it.

But then again, the Brazilian's poor decision making has cost Chelsea a couple of points. Should he work on that and become a little unselfish, he might make the right flank his own and keep Pedro on the bench.

Rumours suggest that Barcelona will be making another move for him in the January transfer window. Chelsea will have a tough decision to make should Barcelona come in with a swap deal involving Dembele or Malcom as the two wingers are younger than Willian and have huge potential.

#5 David Silva (Score: 28.4)

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League
Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League

David Silva is another perfect example of footballers getting better with age. The Spaniard is 32-years-old but is still on top of his game.

He dominates the midfield and makes sure that the others have someone to pass to every single time. Not only does he manage to get the ball from his teammates, but he also knows what to do with it even before he receives it.

His passing and vision are undoubtedly among the best in the game right now and City is using him in his best position. Bernardo Silva was brought in as a long-term replacement for David Silva, but it looks like the Portuguese star will have to wait a little longer before making the starting XI spot his own.

Silva has scored 4 goals and assisted 2 this season but it is his passing and off the ball movement that has got his sitting at #5 in our power rankings.

#4 Anthony Martial (Score: 29.6)

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League
Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League

How do you prove your worth to a manager who has given up on you? Anthony Martial's season so far is the best answer. The Frenchman left Manchester United's pre-season tour for the birth of his child and Jose Mourinho was livid with him.

Reports suggested that the manager was no longer keen on playing him and wanted Martial sold. However, the United board were reluctant to let him go and the Frenchman has proved that the manager almost made a huge mistake.

Martial has been the shining star at United this season with almost every other player nowhere close to their potential. The last month has been brilliant for Martial and he has scored 6 goals in 5 Premier League matches.

He has been Mourinho's #1 choice in attack recently and that is a big thing as the manager is known to prefer attackers who can bully the defenders and dribble past them, which Martial has done to great effect.

#3 Raheem Sterling (Score: 31.5)

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League
Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League

Pep Guardiola has taken Raheem Sterling to another level. The former Liverpool star burst onto the scene as a teenager and has been getting better and better.

The winger has the pace and skill to get past any defender in the Premier League and has been one of the vital reasons for City's dominance. Sterling has scored 6 goals and assisted 5 in the league so far, which is almost 30% of the goals scored by Manchester City!

Riyad Mahrez was brought in to push the Englishman a little more and he has not let Guardiola down. Though Mahrez has impressed whenever he was given a chance, Sterling is making sure that the right flank is his own by playing his heart out every week.

Rumours of him leaving City have been put to bed as he signed a new deal till 2023 last week. The winger can now focus on improving his game and work on scoring more goals.

#2 Sergio Aguero (Score: 31.7)

Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League
Manchester City v Manchester United - Premier League

Sergio Aguero has been breaking one record after the other this season. He became the 9th player in the Premier League history to score 150 goals with his goal vs Southampton. The same goal also made him the 3rd player ever, in the league's history, to score 150 goals for a single club.

His goal scoring form continued in the Manchester Derby as well. His goal, that gave Manchester City a 2-0 lead, was his 8th in the derby – joining Wayne Rooney on top of the pile.

There is no doubt that the Argentine has been in fine form for quite some time and he is clearly one of the best strikers ever. But the question is, can he lead City to another league triumph and can he break the record for the most number of goals scored in a season?

#1 Eden Hazard (Score: 39.5)

Eden Hazard Wins the EA Sports Player of the Month Award - September 2018
Eden Hazard Wins the EA Sports Player of the Month Award - September 2018

One man who has caught everyone by surprise this season is Eden Hazard. The Belgian was always known for his attacking skill but never did one know that he could score a lot of goals as well. Maybe, he didn't know this himself either.

The Chelsea star was linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer but when the club told him that they had no plans to sell him, he stayed put. The winger could have easily cribbed, gone AWOL and forced a move to Spain like his Belgian friend who was at Chelsea, but, fortunately for the Blues, he didn't.

Under manager Sarri, Hazard has scored 7 goals and assisted 4 in the league so far and he is far from done. He has found a new zest for goal and is taking more shots than he ever did. Should he continue to play the way he is doing right now, he might just be the first Ballon d'Or winner from the Premier League in a really long time.
