Hello and welcome to the Premier League latest transfer news and rumours of the day! Here are the top stories surrounding the Premier League tonight!

#5 Morata to move to Atleti

Alvaro Morata is being linked with a move to Atletico Madrid by journalist Rob Dorsett. The Spaniard hasn’t had a good time at Chelsea ever since moving to the Stamford Bridge and it seems as though Gonzalo Higuain is who Maurizio Sarri now wants in his team.

According to Dorsett, Morata’s move to Atleti could be among the biggest moves in the winter window. He is being touted to replace Diego Costa at the Wanda Metropolitano, just like he was supposed to do with the same player at the Stamford Bridge.

“This one could be one of the biggest moves of the transfer window. It concerns Alvaro Morata,” Dorsett said.

“He cost an initial £58m just 18 months ago. But could he be about the leave Stamford Bridge?

“Ironically he was the man employed to replace Diego Costa at Chelsea. He could now be about to replace Costa again, at Atletico Madrid.”

He then added that the Blues are indeed locked in talks with the Rojiblancos for a deal to send the former Real Madrid star back in Spain. Dorsett then revealed that the Londoners could have to pay Real Madrid a total of £70 million for Morata (£58 million initial plus add-ons) and that Sarri has admitted that the Spaniard could leave.

“We understand Chelsea are in talks with Atletico over a deal for Morata to head back to Spain.

“He arrived at Stamford Bridge from Real Madrid and signed a five-year contract on a deal that could have reached £70m with add-on fees.

“But speaking before the game with Newcastle Maurizio Sarri acknowledged Morata could be on his way out.”

#4 De Gea’s value

After his heroics against Tottenham, where he saved everything that was thrown at him, the value of David De Gea has skyrocketed according to football finance expert Kieran Maguire.

Speaking to Daily Star, he stated that in the current trend of football, where clubs are not hesitant to pay huge amounts for a goalkeeper, the Spaniard’s value is in the same region as that of Alisson and Ederson, quoting a number of £70 to £80 million.

“What we’ve seen in the transfer market over the last 12 to 18 months is that clubs have truly started to appreciate how many points goalkeepers are worth.

“You look at the recruitment of Ederson and Alisson, David de Gea is definitely in that value. So if anybody does come in for him, it’s realistically only Real Madrid and he’s going to cost them £70m to £80m.”

#3 Liverpool advised to sell Daniel Sturridge

Liverpool have been asked to get rid of former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge by former Everton forward Warren Aspinall. The Englishman has had a rather erratic season where he has struggled with injuries.

But that is not why he should be let out of the team as Aspinall thinks that the lazy attitude of the forward is a disgrace to the Merseyside outfit and he has not been himself ever since Jurgen Klopp took over the reins at Anfield. He also suggested that selling him would be good for the wage bill

"Sturridge - if I was the chairman - I'd get him off the wage bill," Warren Aspinall was quoted as saying.

"I think sometimes his body language is a disgrace, sometimes he's lazy, and not really a Liverpool player since this manager's taken over."

Should the Reds sell him, they will need to find a replacement.

#2 Arnautovic should be let go by West Ham, City want AS Nancy youngster

Former Arsenal superstar Ian Wright thinks that West Ham should let Marko Arnautovic go. The Austrian has been linked with a move out of London and Wright believes that should the Hammers keep him against his wishes, he could become a problem for them.

"You could see the way he came off the pitch on Saturday, he's gone, he wants to go and I would let him go because I think West Ham have got something going," he said.

"I think he'll be a problem [if he stays] and I think that's what's happened at Stoke. I think he's been a problem most of the places he's been.”

Meanwhile, after missing out on Jean-Claire Todibo, Manchester City are targeting a move for AS Nancy youngster Bilel Hassaini, according to Foot Mercato. They have competition for him, however, as Atletico Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia are also eying him.

For the second time in as many days, the Lilywhites have the last and ultimate spot in this space. However, not everything is rosy here are as one of two stories is actually about Eriksen leaving.

The Galacticos have been targeting the Dane for a while now and according to Don Balon, the Lilywhites have asked the Merengues to cough up €180 million for a player whose contract ends in 2020. The Blancos, however, won’t exceed the €100 million mark.

Meanwhile, according to an exclusive from Football Insider, Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Leeds United starlet Jack Clarke, who has been impressive in his run in the first team of Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds. The Londoners are prepared to make a £10 million in attempt to bring him to the club.
